To dream? Or not to dream? Little confused....

Ok.After two weeks of RC and mantras every night, last night, i've might had my first lucid dream.
I was wandering in a big street, when, aside a little building and a metal structure, i've met my sister, saying to me: "You're dreaming"
I couldn't belive it. I've done the nose RC, and i didn't work. I looked around me, and evrything was gone. I could see the horizon. I wanted to try something, so i touched my hands. First i felt something like an itching sensation, then i really felt my hand touching each other. It was not so vivid, but sure it was realistic. Then, the dream begun to fade, and i remembered some tricks to make the dream longer: so i tried to rub my hand toghether, but it didn't work. I tried to spin in place, but i stopped halfway (it was really hard, like if my feet were very heavy) and then lost lucidity.
The problem is... was it really a lucid drem? I read about dreaming about lucid dream. Did i experience something like that?
I really don't know who to ask... anyway, other things confuse me: even with all the excitement i had in the past weeks imaging my future first LD, i didn't feel the excitement in the dream. I didn't feel the sense of omnipotence. I didn't feel... anything.
Now i'm starting to consider letting go all the work behind this (RC, mantras, etc). I don't feel satisfied....

Anyway, how can i improve my chanches of having a lucid dream? Any tip or suggestion?

      Sorry for any grammar mistakes

I would definitely say this was a lucid dream. Lucid dreaming comes in several different shades and intensities. What you had was a mild lucid dream, now its time to shoot for some vivid ones! There is always a wall or threshold that you have to break through, at least for me and several other dreamers ive talked to. To get through this wall you need to keep practicing your hand rubbing, spins, and heart rate/ excitement.

What works for me is repeating mantras and/or meditating with intent to lucid dream during the middle of the day, and then once more at night. I also always go to bed earlier than normal on nights I want to lucid dream. Wake Back to Bed or WBTB is a great method that I find boosts my chances greatly. Also, get off of electronics two hours before you sleep. Works like a charm at settling your brain and replenishing lost seratonin.

Great job and good luck, and just remember to stay calm once you realize you're dreaming!

Any time you are aware you were dreaming is considered to be a lucid dream,

so I would consider this to be a lucid dream.
The bird breaks free of the egg.
      The egg is the world.
Who would to be born must first destroy a world.
