Smile Did I almost have a DEILD?

Guys I have a question, okay so last night I woke up from a dream and I didn't move or anything, it was unintentional honestly, anyways I started to think about the DEILD technique and I was like hmm if I just sit here what if I start to feel vibrations/hear sounds, anyways I sat there tried not to swallow, move, etc. and just waited then I don't know if it was my mind playing tricks on me because I expected it or if it was real but I started to feel something I don't know how to describe it but it was like a physcial feeling, and I heard a sound that repeated three times back to back, then I swallowed and it sounded louder than a normal swallow and harder, and I moved my fingers and opened my eyes. I've never actually tried DEILD only read about it, and so I don't know if these feelings were real or if my mind just made me feel/hear what I was expecting... what do you guys think?

Hard to tell. But you say you sat there? Or it's just an expression and you were in bed?

But basically that's how you do it. You wake up from a dream, manage not to move and not to wake up too much. In my opinion, the not waking up too much is important. So just be ready for the next time this happens and no matter how it goes down, let it be and just enjoy it. Good luck

You did the first part right, but maybe if you just stay laying down and try visualizing stuff, it'll happen. Like gab said, just lay there and just let it happen.

Yes haha it was just an expression, and thankyou I think because I didn't know if I was actually experiencing SP I didn't take it too seriously but I'll be ready when it happens again!

Thankyou, and instead of just lying there waiting for something to happen I should have visualized?

There is no need to visualize, but if you can think of you dream you just came out of, it may help.

And I would not worry about SP. You will not feel it. You are either dreaming and in SP, but then you don't care and don't worry about SP, because better things are happening at that time.

Or you not dreaming and not in SP. Either way, it's just hindrance to even think about SP.
