Why do i always have a hard time talking to people in lucid dreams?

I always have a hard time talking to people in lucid dreams.. every time i say something to them they either give me a weird/confused look, vanish into air or don't seem to want to engage in further conversation. Last night i had a lucid dream where I was flying around in my house. I found my mom in the kitchen and said to her, "Mom look I can fly!" *flies in a circle around her* but she didn't respond and had an uninterested look on her face. I did more cool flying tricks and made myself float to the ceiling, but mom still looked unfazed. Then I said to her, "Do you know that this is a dream? We're in a lucid dream!" I waved my hands in her face and shook her by the shoulders yelling "talk to me! say something!" again no response

Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?

      Hi Misskati,
You're not alone. In my lucid dreams, not only do dream characters almost never talk to me, they tend to walk away from me.
For the most part, as soon as I realise that I'm dreaming, it's as though some invisible director calls out "Cut!" and the dream characters act like they're on a movie set and walk off to take a break... and they don't come back. If I try to stop them or convince them to stay they just look at me in a bemused way and keep walking off. Very quickly, I'm left on my own.
I can only recall one time when a dream character did talk to me, but that was as I was losing lucidity and in all honesty it felt like they were talking at me rather than to me. At the time, I was being dazzled by the scene around me transforming magically from an exterior forest location to an interior school-like location. The dream character was standing right next to me, talking into my face. I had the impression that they were either trying to keep me lucid or telling me to go back to sleep - I'm not sure which. Either way, I was more interested in watching the scene changing around me than listening to them.
Anyway, as being ignored by dream characters is something that happens to you too, I thought I'd let you know you're not on your own. Unfortunately, I've no idea what it might mean. Hopefully, someone with more experience might have some answers.

Its the same with a lot of people, myself included, and it is annoying and disappointing.

You know, one of the first things I learned from lucid dreams is: "Your subconscious mind is one of the biggest trolls you will ever meet!"
