Reach early childhood memories via LD?

Hey guys, I wondered whether it's possible to see your lost memories form a long time ago. For example what about finding out what you dreamed about when you were 5 years old or even younger. I believe in the theory that everything you experienced in your life is somewhere in your brain saved forever. I think it might work like hypnosis, the state of dreaming is similar right? Have someone any experience with that? I can think about many ways how to do that but I guess many times I will just get lost in my imagination instead of viewing a real memories. I of course speak about a way to get there via LD or similar techniques connected with dreaming. Thanks and have a nice day ^^

Hi! I'm interested if it's possible to remember things from my early childhood. Actually it's one of my lucid goals! My only experience so far: Once I became lucid, I asked to meet my biological mother who passed away when I was around 2 y.o. Basically all I know about her comes from pictures or what others told me about her, and my life experiences at that age are a little bit chaotic. So, I had no expectations about what was going to happen. Then I saw a giant woman dressed in underwear, getting into the scene, although she didn't look like the woman from the pictures. She took me in her arms, and I saw some wounds in her legs when she lifted me. After that, the dream turned into another direction. Later, I asked my brother if our mom had something similar to those wounds I saw, he said no. Perhaps I remembered somebody else, or most probably I just figured out how would it have been, I don't know. It was interesting that until then, I didn't remember at all, seeing people that size, from the perspective of a kid, since a very long time (actually since I'm not a kid anymore ) That would be the only thing I consider as a genuine memory, just the perspective of a kid. Unfortunately I don't have other way to confirm about the woman I saw in that dream. I would like to experience more around the subject, that's one of the reasons why I'm trying to increase once again my frequency of lucids now. Cheerz!

I'm curious about that too, I think theoretically it's possible because those memories should be stored somewhere just not usually accessible. The only thing I'm concerned about with it is that your brain could possibly give you false memories when you try to ask for them. I think it's worth a try but I'd definitely be skeptical about the results.

I think it's worth a try but I'd definitely be skeptical about the results. Actually, the way I first got interested in the subject, was a post I read long ago here in DV, by the time I joined here. It was about a person who used to visit a hallway or something like that, with doors on the sides. I don't remember exactly how was it, although it was something like he/she was able to remember a very old memory about an accident he/she had during his/her childhood that he/she had almost forgotten. I don't remember exactly what was the thread about, I think perhaps it was something regarding teleportation, although the post was one of the answers to that thread. I tried to find again that post a couple of times without success, may be I'll give it a try to dig it up once more. If I find it, I'll post the link here.

Two days ago i had a non-vivid which reminded me old childhood memory So i guess it can be possible with lucid dreams aswell

Box, Fuzzman, Mikoto that you guys for your replies. I like that dream about huge woman, it makes sense. I mean about a kid seeing the others as giants. Yeah as Box said, the problem is to recognize a brain imagination and reality. Hmmmm I will give it a shot after the exams. I plan to get into LD again, now I have not much time and energy to do concentrate, you know, university exams . I will surely send here the results then. I actually got interested in this because of the book The Star Rover by Jack London. The main character spoke about dreams he had as a child that were the dreams of something not fully formed. Like that his personality was just creating and he was just something, not someone yet. I would actually love to see what was I thinking ab out back then, what dreams did I have, how did I see all the stuff around me that time.

So finally I have more time to concentrate on LD. Today I achieved lucidity and attempted to travel in time to my childhood. I was at the train station, bought a ticket and then I noticed that on the boards with train information, there were some weird things and all the lines were chaotically distorted or how to say that. That's when I realised it's a dream, made hand RC just in case. I decided to use a portal via door to enter the kindergarten which I attended as a child. Well I entered a weird room, there was almost nothing but only a few pieces of furniture like two tables and some shelves or something and two young boys sitting on them. They were just staring at me, man that was creepy as hell . I mean the shape of the room was close to the main room of our kindergarten but I think this was a fail. Have to try next time again...
