Help can't stay in a lucid dream !!

      Hi everyone,

Last night I had a dream about me building really big buildings made of lego. Anyways when i realized i was dreaming i felt my body vibrating and i started rubbing my hands against each other to try and stay into the lucid dream. I did it but then i started to slowly fly into the clouds and then wake up. It happends to me really often. So can u guys give me tips how to stay in a lucid dream without waling up that fast, Thanks

      Ciao ,AmazingDreamer1

Crawl over the ground and just touch anything nearby, concentrate on the texture and temperature.
If you read this do a reality check, you will thank me later...

      Welcome to the forums!

Stabilizing your dream is more than just rubbing your hands mindlessly. You want to stimulate your senses as much as possible. Check out our Dream Stabilization Tutorial here for an explanation about what stabilizing should do and some more stabilization techniques.

It's also possible you woke up out of excitement, though the solution is the same (better stabilization).

Touch everything nearby like LDman said, and also give it a lot of focus and thought (this should both increase dream vividness and awareness as well as subside your emotions). Think long and hard about how the breeze feels. Are those birds chirping in the background? What does the area smell like? If you rub your hands together, you want to give it the same amount of thought. Feel the little edges within your palms and when you touch other things, think about the texture. Is it hot, is it cold? Is it rough, smooth, does it have some sort of pattern to it?

The dream should become more vivid and you'll also have 'better lucidity' (really just higher awareness). You also won't wake up as easily since not only will you be so focused on the dream, but if you were at all excited, you managed to get past that stage.

I had that happen to me too until maybe lucid #25! First off, theres no reason why you would wake up, you would have continued the dream as stable as it gets if you wouldnt have gotten lucid. So ask yourself why did that change when you attained lucidity?! Answer: It shouldt!
That thought helped me a lot! Maybe combine that with a mantra..
Also what the others said! Read through the tutorials, maybe this thread also (It explains the 5 senses thing really good)

Good luck! Stay calm, no reason to wake up! Use all 5 senses, rub your hands together if you'd like, smell, taste, hear and see and you'll see results soon enough

Let me know how it goes!
