You might be focusing too much on your intent to project, and it's influenced yourself to unknowingly become lucid? What your trying to say is your able to depart from your body, But not onto the astral plain, And you end up inducing a lucid dream rather than projecting? |

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." -Edgar Allan Poe
What I meant was that I seem to project "fine" at least i exit fine and can usually see myself laying there, but stuff looks different, like i am wearing different clothes or parts of my room are missing, but when i project, i always end up in a lucid dream shortly after |

Congratulations on your succcessful WILD! Look at it as an achievement, not a disappointment. Even if it's not what you were expecting, why not run with it and enjoy developing your LD skills? |

Thank you alot haha. I appreciate it! I actually find lucid dreaming very fun and almost like the matrix haha! I just want to know the difference between my sleep paralysis/how i exit myself, and myself "dreaming" that i am projecting. |

Lucid dreaming and astral projection could be argued to be the same thing. A good way to explain it is that when you are in an AP/OBE you're seeing an exact copy of the physical realm. I'd say what you experienced was a full fledged OBE |

I haven't read up very much about astral projection, but I don't think your house is necessarily going to look identical to how it does in waking life. I think there's still some room for visual interpretation, since after all you're not talking about remote viewing (and I'm not even sure if everything looks identical to waking reality in RV either). |
