      ITT: Describe your dream journal

      Hey guys!

I was thinking it would be cool to discuss and describe our dream journals. Everybody's is unique so there should be some pretty interesting responses! Obviously your DJ is quite a personal thing so please don't share anything you don't feel comfortable with. Pics would be cool too if you have them!

My DJ is a regular red, spiral-bound exercise book that I bought for uni but had leftover, with '#dreaming' written on the front. It sits on the floor next to my bed at night open so that I can pick it up and jot down notes about my dreams. On the left-hand pages are a bunch of intelligible notes; these generally include the time I woke from the dream, as well as some one-word reminders of where I was, who I was with and what I was doing. These notes are incredibly messy, and unfortunately sometimes I wake up not being able to understand some of it! On the right-hand pages are neatly (relative to the other side) written recounts of my dreams, as well as the time I woke from them, the approximate time I fell asleep and the type and dosage of any supplement I may have used (usually just 5-HTP). Recurring dreamsigns and impossible occurrences are highlighted with a yellow highlighter pen. In the back of the book is my lucid dreaming goals, as well as my count of both lucid and regular dreams from each month.

That's a great way to write your dreams.I only write my dreams here but I think its about time I start writing it in a book. I forgot so many because I never wrote it after I woke up. It sucks cause I know they were interesting.

I use the one on this site, I should probably go for using one irl considering I find myself not wanting to go on the comp in the morning because I usually do all of my preparing in the dark besides brushing my teeth and showering, and so when I turn the tv-monitor on it destroys my eyes.

Mine's just a notebook from Walmart. Damn it, I should buy a good journal, and not write so messy like I do every morning, and write in pen. I should do all those things, but I probably won't. XD

My dream journal is a black spiral notebook I got from Walgreens. I'm on my second one already but I still need to catch it up (it's about 2 months behind).

I have a black wooden chest in my room and I plan on making it my "Dream Chest" I'm going to put everything related to my dreams (like my dream signs, journals, drawings, pictures, etc)

That is a really cool idea! I have a spare drawer at home, might have to start doing something like that. Thanks!

I've been keeping dream journals on and off for close to 7 years now. I have 4 spiral notebooks completely filled with dreams, accompanying sketches, and dream interpretations. Recently It's been getting too hard to wake up and write in my physical journal so I've decided to start putting my dreams in a word document. It's actually really handy because everything is so much neater and I can make notes in the margins really easily. It also make putting down dreams take between 20 and 30 minutes rather than over an hour. And, the one's I like are much easier to transfer to DV later.

There's a lady on Etsy, "TeoStudio," who makes the most beautiful blank books I've ever seen. They're not cheap, but they are superbly crafted and one of a kind. When I was writing my dream journals by hand, I used one of her books for my lucid dream accounts (I wanted to keep them in a nicer book than the NLDs in order to motivate myself!) Eventually it got to the point where my dream reports were getting so long that I had no choice but to type them into a Word file for speed and convenience, but I still collect Teo's books for their aesthetic value.
