This has to be a dream ....

In the last 4 or 5 days I have had 3 lucid dreams without,
Even trying. I'm really enjoying how its happening and its very simple.
I'm simply realizing that something isn't right. For instance, last night I was looking
Down a street of endless connected houses and just laughed and said..wow
This has to be a dream. With that, it all became lucid. The thing is, there have been
Oodles of occasions where I wake up thinking... Doh...how didn't you realize
That was a dream.....so why now ? .. Is it because I'm just not trying or forcing it?

      Peace

I sure wish I could do that. I am currently trying to start "implanting" lucid dreaming in my head before going to bed. I have a method for "implanting" things and after I do it just feels like they have thoroughly sunk in, and it almost always works. I can remember something by implanting it very easily.

Yeah, in dreams your semantic memory (the one that is responsible for telling you if there is something wrong or weird or off) is barely active. So, putting intentions to become lucid activates your prospective memory (the one responsible for making you remember to do something in the future) and makes you remember to realize it's a dream. Here's how it works:
When you're inside a dream, the intention you put starts working and your prospective memory pokes you telling you "hey there was something you wanted to remember" (like if you say you want to remember to watch your show after an hour, and suddenly after an hour, you remember out of the blue that you wanted to watch your show. It's like you have a little stopwatch inside your brain). So you'd be walking inside your dream and suddenly "hey! I'm in a dream!" . what might happen too is that your prospective memory is active and it starts 'poking' you, but it's not poking hard enough, so you're now a little more aware but it's not coming to you fully, but then because of this higher awareness and the little 'poke' of 'dream, dream, dream, dream' , you realize there's something of a dream, then vwala! Lucid!

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

not trying to force it is always a good way to start out with. But what I am wondering is whether you used your mind in a different way than you usually do during or before you became lucid in your dreams all of a sudden. Where did you put your attention during your waking days? Did you have any new thoughts about how your or other peoples life are maybe? Or did you start noticing the color or details in daily objects around you? Anything new at all in your mind during these lucid nights, or slightly before it?

      Great share.

It is about all day awareness... because many "odd" things and odd thing happen around us, but sometimes we never notice, not even awake, so awareness is the key, but is true, there is no need for struggle!

You know what, I have been a tad concerned lately about something that happened
To my son in real life. He was in my latest dream and oddly enough he
Was pinching his nose in the dream like he was also becoming lucid.
It's just strange that when I have tried recently my success rate is
Way less than when I haven't. I'm very grateful all the same.

Hmm.. this is quite interesting. Normaly our minds makes us kind of dull to reality, and since most people in general seems to have a lot of imagined worries, they become less aware of the world around them. How ever, in you case.. could it maybe be that your concern was somewhat more of the sincerely thoughtfuly concerned approach? Rather than the plain mind imagined worrying that most people engage in without any good reason. I mean, if one have a problem that we are sincere about. Then we tend to seek a solution which would make the mind more focused and aware of more things outside the mind itself as well.

Yeah I can see how that could be. Since you want to lucid dream, you already know that you would like that to happen. But as soon as you start testing to see if the lucid dreaming was just a lucky hit or if you REALLY can pull off this lucid dreaming thing. Then that trying itself is a clear sign of doubt in you. And as soon as you start trusting yourself and just let what ever happen happen to you. Then your ability to lucid dream will reach you again as it seems to do right now.
