      Experimenting with conscious sleep.

I have been trying to understand how falling asleep happens. I have been trying to stay conscious as long as i can paying attention what happens and when.
I started first just trying realize when i lose awareness falling asleep. I never noticed.
Next thing i tried was focusing on one part of my body until i fell asleep. I just layed there and waited something to happen. First i started to see colored patterns. Then i felt relaxation hit me and just laying there felt good. Then my inner voice started to sound more like halluscination and i started hearing high pitch noise. I started to feel disorientasion on my body. I tried not to focus on it but the feeling got stronger and the suddenly i felt this shock and i was completely awake unable to sleep. This happened always when trying this.
Also if i even had one thought of moving i started to have this urge to move more and more until it became unbereable to lay there still.

I wondered why this happened. Each time i started to pay attention to anything weird sound of feeling it got so strong that i couldnt lay still it made me so uncoftroable and awake.
I thought if i could lay there still just without giving any weird or new sensation any interest i could just observe sleep.
I tried this few times. Telling myself before going to sleep that im going fall asleep consciouly without caring anything else that happens in process. I layid still doing nothing expect trying to be aware of each sense a little. Weird things started happen(too much explaining) and i tried to not focus on them no matter how weird they felt. Then last part was when i felt my heart beat vibrating trough my bed to my body. I felt the bed pulsating like my heart. Then vibration started growing from the bed and my eyes became really stiff(it was really hard not to pay attention to this)and i tried not to care what was happening. My body started dissapear. My hearring became different and i sunk to darkness. Then i imagine me in my bed and i felt awake i opened my eyes and i was lucid dreaming. I woke up and 2 hours had passed since i started. I tried it again same thing happened and i had other lucid dream. When i woke up 20 min had passed and i deilded back. I slept consciouly 5 hours which felt like 10 hours so i woke up feeling refressed and well slept. Next day tried it again and it worked again but after 3 hours i had enough time just passed too slowly that i wanted to just sleep normally. I became lucid but lost it because i just wanted to sleep.

I have done this few times from starting as soon as i go to sleep but its too boring laying there what feels like 2 hour just waiting dream to happen. I noticed few key thing that always happened to me. First the i saw patterned collor,2.Weird feeling in forehead with it waves of relaxation hit me,3.started to hear things,4. started to see depth in sight, eyes became stiff, started to feel heart beat and pulses,5. The body starts to dissapear. Here where i failed many times since its hard for mind to let go of the idea of body but thats where the dreaming starts. Also you wake up really easily from the first dream but its easy to deild.

Im gonna try this few more times. I will post if i discover something new that i think is interesting.

I thought your initial post was very interesting, but now it seems to have transformed into the letter "S"!

Also i dont suggest trying this if you have had trouble falling asleep. You could develop severe insomnia from this. If you have had trouble falling asleep dont try this.

      Update on consciouss sleep.
      Long story short.
I have tried for little over month this. I never succeeded fully at staying aware. I had few good tries where i seemed to have stayed conscious of what was going on but there was always this blank spot in my memory of what happened or it seemed more like there was actually nothing happening between there. I remembered the dream transistions but the time before it and awake was just compeletly blank like nothing happened. It always felt like i was aware the whole time but i cant say for sure.
