When I wake up I see people in my bethroom

      Hi all,

Occasionally when I wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning I see people in my bethroom. I can see them, I also see them move (always staying on the same spot) but I never hear them. It feels like my brain is still sleeping and transforms objects in my bethroom into people. They also don't look as sharp and real as people in waking life.

It never scares my except last night, I saw a person that looked like 'the green reaper' standing next to my bethroom door looking at my. Kinda disturbing and a little scary but beaucose I think it's my brain that is still sleeping and doing this. It's sort of the same as a DC to my. I tried to invluence and communicate with the characters but with no luck.

Is there anybody with the same or somewhat a like experience?

Also I'm not in SP, I can move get up and do whatever. If I try to walk to a person in my bethroom it slowely dissapears and turns back into what it really is, like a lamp or something else in my room. I've also tried moving stuff arround in my room and go back to sleep to find out if it isn't a FA or that I'm actually dreaming. But that's not the case I am really awake when it happens.

This happens to me all the time. I have saw some scary stuff when waking from dream. When you wake up and you see something close your eyes and wait moment and it should be gone. I used to do this when i was a kid.

Once i woke up and saw my brother just standing beside my bed looking at me with this weird look. I asked him what he was doing he didnt reply but his face started change scary (This was in complete darkness). Then i called my brothers name he became closer and i realized it was hallucination. I got terrified (i was 10 and these were new to me). I looked away and back where he was but there wasnt anybody.
Not long ago i woke up and saw woman in white dress levitating in air. It was dark and i just told myself it was hallusination looked at her until it dissapeared and continued sleep. If i see these i no longer even react to them i have gotten so used to it.
Scariest one was when i saw grudge at the end of my bed just staring at me. I got little scared then just said its just hallusination.

The hallucinations started for me a few years ago. Just a little after I began reading about lucid dreaming and doing some RC's and stuff related to lucid dreaming. From the beginning I knew right away that the hallucinations weren't real and I 've never been afraid of them, just interested. I've tried communicating with them with thoughts and sounds but I never had a real reaction, did you?

And what do you think about the theory that if the hallucinations are creations of the brain and/or proloque dreamscenes. Should we be able to control them in some way? I've tried making them move, look at me and change shape with thoughts but nothing seemed to work like in a (lucid) dream.

I never have been able to control them. They never have spoken to me either. Only standing there looking weird and stupid.
I think it started because you have become more aware of sleep cycles. You are light sleeper like me. I have always on my life woken at least once a night. I rarely sleep trough a whole night without waking up multiple times. Thats advantage in lucid dreaming.

That's absolutely true I am a light sleeper and I always wake up multiple times at night to, usually after a dream. So cool to meet someone with the same experciences. I just read a thread on reddit where another guy also has the same experciences I see people and things when I wake up. (xpost from r/nosleep) : Neuropsychology. Maybe something you like tot read.

I know waking up multiple times at night can help with for example DEILD but I haven't found a good way tot take advantage of it yet. How do you use waking up after dreams to your advantage?

Since you are light sleeper like me you could try intention induced lucid dream. Go to sleep normally when you wake up sit up and start say to yourself that you are going to lucid dream. Sit there 1 minute convinsing yourself that you are going to lucid dream then go back to sleep. If you fail next time wake up do same thing. I have like 90% succes rate with this but sometimes im too tired to sit up because the bed feels too comstrable.
