      Any techniques for people who wake up early?

      Can anyone suggest any LD techniques for early wakers? I have to wake up at 6:00 am for school. I usually use W.B.T.B for my LDs, but that's kinda outta the question. I tried that once and couldn't focus the whole day, felt exhausted. So are there any techniques I could use that would work for me, having to wake up at 6:00 am?

      Making children wake up so early is a form of child abuse, IMHO.

      You can try DEILD, as that can be done any time of the night, within reason. You probably can't DEILD after your very first dream of the night, but by the wee hours of the morning you can do it. And with DEILD, there's no getting out of bed. In fact, the objective is to get back to sleep as quickly as possible. So yeah, DEILD is my suggestion.

      You can also do WBTB and use caffeine, but watch out: as a stimulant, regular use can cause nervousness, tremors, anxiety, paranoia...

      I used to have the same problem with school. If it's not too much of a hassle, try setting your alarm for 5:30. Get up to stretch a little. Then go back to sleep while focusing on lucid dreaming.

      I wake up @ 5:00 for school. It sucks. I try waking up at 2 or 3 and doing a MILD, so I'm only up for a few minutes. So far no success, but I haven't been at it for long.
      Lucid dream goals: DILD: 5 WILD: 10 =^..^=
      -have magic powers [] -run through the school and trash stuff [X] -play a part in my favorite books and movies []
      -create an evil doppleganger of myself and start a superpower war against her [] -transport somewhere [x]
      -make a creative workshop [] -have giant wings to fly with [] -ask dream characters about meaning of dreamworld []

      I have to wake up at 05.00 for work, and honestly, I don't hope much for a LD during the week. I have made it so that on Tuesdays, I go to bed extra early, around 20.30, and intend to get lucid. I always seem to get lucid on Friday nights with a WBTB though.

      recently, almost all my lucids have come from waking up in the middle of the night to pee, then focusing my intent as i go back to sleep. i have to be up by 6 for work.
      Back into lucidity since 4.10

      this sounds like it would work ( lol, I know that peeing isn't totally necessary) Thank you everyone for your replies!
