I suppose it could. I was tossing LD techniques around today and came up with the idea something that I call a Reality Review. It's basically a super long reality check, lasting 2-5 minutes, where I run through and affirm aspects of reality. Among them are stating the seasonal conditions, your current goals, the current date and time, what will be happening to you soon, (going to work, meeting with family, etc.) Try to make sense of things and ask questions, keeping your mind active will help you to be more alert during your RCs and more mindful of your reality. I considered that you could couple it with other RCs such as light switch, nose pinch (hey that rhymes!) etc.

I haven't gotten to test the idea for any length of time yet. I was considering whether or not it would be better to preform them routinely (perhaps two or three times per day) or before bed.

However, the longest chain of RCs are only going to be a few minutes at most, without a doubt followed up.

If you have a half hour to kill, I would move to autosuggestion.
