Have some of you successfully LDing about your dream character yet?

I am sure some of you have the same goal as mine, meeting your favourite dream character. Have you managed to LDing about them yet. Can you give me some additional tips if you had experienced it? It must be fun hanging around with your dream character during LD. My lynx, wait for me!

I like to put my hand behind my back, call for the dream character and wait for them to touch it. It usually only takes a second or two, sometimes longer.

If you're not sure it's them, you can ask them while they're behind you and listen to their voice.

Does their voice depend on how you imagine it to be or it comes naturally from them? Do i have to think of him talking to me too?
Imagine if i want to hug him, do i have to touch my back first?

I am still only a beginner so i still have a lot to learn. just expect to see them in your dreams. go places or imagine places where they will be and it should help to find them.

Yeah, many times, but I also failed many times. It's a matter of how well you can control your dreams.

Actually I had a WILD and lynx was almost formed too. I kept reminding about him during WILD by recalling his shape, body type and his outfit. He then took a shape of kinda watery but with his tall stature. Suddenly, my body had a rise in temperature. It was so hot and my hand felt numb too. It was painful so i had to let go of him. I am so dissapointed as that thing happened. I think it really is possible but need a lot of efforts even just wanting to meet one dream character.

Thanks yaya. I create this topic just to make sure and read the experiences to those who had succeed on meeting their dream characters. But if someone care to reply again. For those who have knowledge about this situation, please explain it to me about why my body temperature rose and my hand felt numb during WILD while trying to summon my dream character.

I tried lots, and succeeded. O/c a lot of fails happened. That's normal. Half of the times I would get distracted in the LD and forget my goal to meet the person I wanted to meet (mostly get distracted by girls xD). The other half would be either successes, tries and fails, or short LDs.

I had a similar experience like yours, only it was a false awakening LD. I had a FA, looked and saw that my TV was now in front of the heater, then I knew it was I dream. I closed my eyes and imagined her, wanting her to appear, and she started appearing slightly but not fully (dang).

But don't get bothered by this, a lot of the times it's easy using neat tricks to summon the person you want. Like I remember this LD where I was viewing a digital art of a really really cute anime girl, and I started moving her arm with my finger, and with more and more movement, I started expecting more malleability of the screen, and so it did become softer and softer, and I got my hand into the screen. At this point the tablet was leveled at my eye level facing up, so I couldn't see the screen, but my arm was deep into it like some kind of well, and I grabbed her arm and started pulling her out. I could see her shadow figure under the tablet during this process, since I felt like she was 'under the tablet-well-thingy w/e lol. I thing I didn't manage to pull her out completely though, and that's when I did the "right around the corner trick" where I said that there would be a cute anime girl outside in the balcony, and I got there and she was there, I cute red haired anime girl, with the night sky and, well night and darkness and so forth, I we had a passionate kiss [French ] . I can still remember how it exactly felt! (It was amazing! O/c I expect them to be pros at this, and so they do become pros at it. Expect something and it happens in dreams. That's why you should only think about winning! Think "the problem isn't summoning him, it's if he would be wearing that sexy red shirt or not" for example. Fool yourself that summoning him is a piece of cake. O/c don't feel bitter if you fail. Know that every miss is a step closer to a hit. Mathematically, this is called probabilities. Just have a confident stance. Again, though, this doesn't mean that you will succeed right away. Be confident, but be ready for misses; DON'T get frustrated. No one is born a pro or a gamer in this, uhhm, unless he's a natural LDer o/c lol.
      Yeah, you get the point.

But though, it usually takes years of practice before you get to the really good part of LDing. I'm sure your imagining spending an hour each night going in amazing vivid HD exciting adventures, but it takes lots of sweat to reach that. Those require years of honed skills in LD induction, stabilization, dream recall, dream control, lucidity (or in other words, self awareness). Also you should have good knowledge of your sleep cycle. Planning on hitting a LD in a late REM period for example would give much more aware, vivid and memorable (stronger recall of them) LDs, and non-LDs o/c. Also knowing your wbtb is very important too. For example, for me, I have my best LD quality after a long wbtb, like an hour or 2 long, even 3. And this wbtb would be after around 6 hours of sleep, maybe more.... 7. Also I get very great LDs when I sleep q couple more hours after I naturally wake up (you know, when you wake up after like 9 hours of sleep on a Sunday and feel like you wanna stay in bed more, then drows off for an extra hour or so).

And about that numbness. I feel it when I WILD, that's natural, but usually when I enter the dream, it goes away. But when I start waking up from the dream, I start feeling it again. You must have been waking up, which made you start feeling the numbness, not the other way around. You must have hit the WILD at a late point in that REM cycle (meaning you were going to wake up anyways, the dream was naturally ending).
And about the temperature shift. Was the room in the dream colder than your bedroom? You must have started feeling your room's temperature. Happened to me before. Not only that, but once I was eating fries in my LD, best I've ever had EVER, and I woke up while eating it and it's taste started shifting. When I was awake, it's taste stuck in my mouth for like five seconds, but it was a slightly different taste. I think it's because I started tasting the month's natural acidity while starting to wake up?

      Anyways, hope I'm helping! ^_^

Thanks for sharing your experience. About that temperature, i thought the temperature in our dream is based on our real life temperature. The way you stated it, That was sure kinda challenging to meet your dream character huh? I know, it really worth it.

P/c with more and more LDs, it will become much easier. It's like the piano. Not all call play Beethoven except after practice practice and practice.

About the temperature. I don't think it's influences so much by the room temp. I mean, you can be inside a hot tub in a LD and it would be warm, or in the arctic and feel the temperature of the ice.
It is influenced by room temperature, but when you're in a scene in a LD doing it's own temp stuff, it doesn't influence so much.

A few years ago for weeks I kept seeing the same character over and over, but that was probably because I never stopped thinking about him. XD
Now I never see him anymore. But oh well. *shrugs*

I never have any advice for people, I just like responding to topics. :3

The secret to summoning is knowing that that Dream Character is already there. This same rule applies to the entirety of lucid dreaming as well. Believe in yourself, and the dream will believe in you too. I wouldn't say it takes much practice. The moment you truly realize that it is your dream and you have all the power, is the moment you come into complete control.

"If we doubted our fears instead of doubting our dreams, imagine how much in life we'd accomplish." ~Joel Brown
"Your background and circumstances may have influenced who you are, but you are responsible for who you become." ~Darren Hardy

      Goals:
-Become Lucid in every dream every night
      -Perfect the time dilation watch
-Continue to have a dream plan for most of my lucid dreams
