I'll try to keep this brief. If people are interested in what my dreams entailed entirely, then I will post the full version but here is my good and bad experience. I haven't posted in years because I've been so freakin busy I haven't had time to focus on Lucidity, or post, but I have very vidid dreams often, and this experience revived my interest.

I became lucid and I made something that I wanted to happen happen in the dream. After the fact, a man wearing a black and white pinstripe suit (each stripe about 2 inches thick and vertical) looked at me and said, "I like what you did there, that was clever." I approached him because usually when I am lucid, the characters don't make sense. I asked if he was my dream guide and he said yes. He had a top hat on that was a bit worn and kind of 'mad-hatter-esque', and long, unkempt hair, almost like Doc Brown from Back to Future, but orangish.

I followed him through this hallway that was very circus like. He appeared very busy, almost like an executive in this "dream network", handing out papers and issuing orders, things of that nature. He gave me one rule at this time. Avoid the gridlines. I was confused and asked what he meant, and he manifested this laser-like grid of yellow lines intersecting before me. I asked if I would be taken somewhere I wasn't supposed to be if I did, and he said, "Yes." That was the end of my first experience with him during the dream, but not the last.

Here's the freaky part. The next thing I remember, I found myself in another dream. A man in a suit was following me, and for some reason, he had control of every aspect of my dream except for me. It was a game for him to see if I could escape. I remained lucid for the entirety of it so I wasn't scared of being harmed, but I as unable to take control from him. At one point I went for a water bottle, and a "doctor" approached me and warned me it was dangerous containing various chemicals including "Ephrine". I called him on his BS and asked him to explain what it was...he got flustered and walked away saying, "We're getting a little crazy down here."

Next I find myself outside in a man-made walkway. I didn't know what to do, so I asked for my dream-guide (one of the first times I've actually asked for it), and sure enough he appeared out of nowhere, in the same outfit he was in before, although his face looked a bit different. As soon as he appeared, a darker version of him appeared also. Almost identical, but wearing all black, including black hat and black features. He started yelling at my dream-guide, "We never discussed this!"

My dream-guild then looked at me and said, "What you need to figure out is if you are in...or out."

I then woke up in my bed but it was a false awakening and I realized I was still dreaming. my closet has doors of mirrors and I remember reading that looking in a mirror in a dream can be scary, but I decided to anyway. When I looked in the mirror, I looked like me but my face was distorted and straining very hard. Every feature of my face was expressed to the max, showing lines in my forehead, mouth wide-open, etc.

I then woke up for real and almost felt scared of myself. I knew everything I had experienced was a dream, but it frightened me that some part of my subconscious took control of the dream and tried to convince my dream-guide to not offer help.

I'm interested in hearing any and all replies!
