Question How many time it took you to lucid dream?

i'm just curious, so i can have a little idea how much time it should take
when i'm training over 3 years, with only about 5 lucids, but none of them seemed like
      real life.

It took a few weeks for me to have the first lucid dream, and in the beginning lucids appeared once every few weeks.

Frankly, however, very few of my lucids seem like real life; mostly they deliver a kind of just-in-time environment, where anything I focus on will be there in full detail, but there will not be anything else present at the same time. On the other hand, on rare occasions it does seem like real life, and I label those experiences either astral projections or OBE's.

If you have been working diligently for three years, with only a handful of lucids, then I suggest investigating your sleep thoroughly in order to identify the reason for the lacking lucidity. Questions to ask yourself are e.g. whether you dream at all, whether your dreams are vague and blurred, and whether you are too tired to engage your dreams.

So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

Took me half a year for a half lucid dream, knew I was dreaming but nothing special happened.

Took me bout a month or two to get regular lucid dreams, hell they had a schedule! Every weekend, but sometimes they were early and came on Friday. I just RC'd everyday, wrote in my DJ, and slept and that's how I got it going!

It sounds like you're having some trouble, 5 lucids in 3 years is definitely on the low end. Are you dream-journalling every day? I ask because I reckon that you should have had more than 5 lucid dreams in that time period just from chance occurrences, training aside. It could actually be that your level of dream recall isn't great and you've had more lucids than you remember. If you get in the habit of remembering more dreams (via journalling), you'll necessarily remember more lucid dreams. Then of course there are side benefits leading to more lucidity like recognition of dreamsigns etc. Just a suggestion, you might well be journalling flat out, in which case ignore this post!
