Talking Will continuing your lucid dreams from where you left off work?

Hey guys! This has probably been covered before but I am so curious to know if anyones done something similar. I want to attempt to lucid dream about being in a particular story eg: attending hogwarts, and then carry on subsequently through the story whenever the next lucid dream is. While doing this I plan to record all the events in my DJ. Has anyone tried something like this before and what success did you have? Do you think it will work? It's sort of like a tv series but instead you're a character within it all.

      Yeah, it should be possible.
I sometimes visualize places in my mind when I want to relax, and I often end up "developing" those places and making up characters who interact with each other etc over a long period of time, and this has sometimes made me feel like I know those characters.
Lucid dreaming is very similar to visualization in many ways, except of course usually much more vivid and immersive, so I think it's entirely possible to gradually develop a dreamworld.
It may not be completely stable in every aspect, but the core aspects of it should be pretty much the same.

There is something called persistent realms. Its like a game where you save before quitting. So if you exploded the moon ,gone to your appartment and woke up, next night you will dream where you are in the appartment and the moon will still be exploded. But it is hard, there is, i think, a tutorial about persistant realms. Experienced lucid dreamers are good at it, others have dream guids that made for them the persistent realm. If you want more information, google persistent realms.

      Persistent Realms!!! That's awesome.

Going straight to the to-do. Read the old Dream Journals and find places I'd like to revisit and start daydreaming.

      This is GOLD!

This is definitely possible! I know someone who had dreams like these that were non-lucid. Every day he would fill us in on the world he had in the clouds and the adventures he had had that night. After a few days I told him about lucid dreaming and he tried it. It did work, but after a while he got bored of the same story and returned to 'normal' dreaming. Several years ago, I also had something like this where every night, my first dream of the night would be the same. I would be in my house, which I could explore or do whatever I wanted, and then I would eventually go into my closet where there was this portal. I would go inside and it would take me to my normal dreams and for the rest of the night I would have different dreams like any other night. This was before I started LDing, but it would have been a great dream sign if it wasn't.

Thanks for the replies everyone ! This is definitely on my to do list! I've always been into books,movies,tv-shows etc, It would be absolutely unreal to be living out the story whenever possible. Persistent realms sounds so good aswell! Almost like living a double-life. Going to keep practicing, Lucid dreaming is amazing. Theirs not many things in life which you could never get sick of doing, but Lucid dreaming is one of them. Good luck everybody .

Hey there! So glad to see someone having the same interests. I recently developed better skills with lucid dreaming and I try hard to be a part of a vivid favorite TV shows of mine. This just sounds SO AMAZING. I want to be a part of a Enterprise away team, I want to explore the universe in high speed, and attending Hogwarts has always been one of my biggest wishes when I think about the LD world.

However, I am quite sure a lot of effort and training is required to master this "persistent realm" - that's why I meditate whenever I've got time and try to WBTB every morning before work, and that can be sometimes exhausting. Nevertheless, I am patient, no hurries. I just hope every part of the LD world will be as "real" as I'm hope.

I'll try focusing on HP themed-lucid dreams tonight, will let you know what happened If you're interested.
