When you wake up and want to DJ, try staying in bed, with your eyes closed, and not move for a minute or two. Go through the dream, your feelings, any locations, character, event which took place etc. |

Every time I try to dj, I usually just give up because of how severely fragmented and incoherent my dreams are. Even if its not fragmented, I always have a huge problem putting it into words. At that point I just give up and fall back asleep. |

Some dreams are like that. I would not spend a lot of time on them. My early in the night dreams are that way. Usually gets better toward morning or after WBTB |

Agree with clumsydreamer try staying still when you wake. Each time I wake i spend a few minutes trying to recall my dreams before I move or place my feet on the ground and get up. Once you ground yourself by standing a lot of the dream dissapears i find and its harder to recall. Try writing down anything you can recall, it trains your subconscious that you place an importance on recalling your dreams and this will lead to better recall and more meaningful dreams I find. I used to write the date in my book each night before i went to sleep as it sets the intention for you to want to recall and write the dream the next morning. You need to persist with this method. You will find over time the results improve dramatically! Good luck |

Sometimes in order to dream journal quickly I jot down only key words. That also works if you have fragmented and incoherent dreams. I had those last night. For most of the night all I remember is dreaming about cooking oil, something about a small baby animal, being in a big building, eating a cookie, doing yoga. So I jot down oil. baby animal. big building. cookie. yoga. It doesn't have to be a book or story, just enough to remember it. The important part is practicing searching your brain and remembering as much as you can. |
