I'm not sure how all that works. I'm also not sure how people find MILD to be a reliable method. |

I'm not very familiar with mantras, but I know that they usually only work for me when I believe that they will work (or when I'm at least confident that they will work). Maybe you should try a different mantra that has a more personal meaning for you rather than a standard one that everybody uses. When I'm falling asleep I like to repeat to myself, "Tonight, I'm going to have a lucid dream!!!!", and I get really excited about it as well. Sometimes I wake up during the night without any lucid dreams but I don't let that bother me, I just do it again with just as much enthusiasm and positivity. |

Personally, while falling asleep, I repeat in my head "check your hand" because then maybe I'll remind myself to do a reality check. It's worked so far! You could also do "plug your nose" or "thumb through palm". Just something short to remind you to do a reality check (= |
