What would you do at a lucid dreaming meetup?

I've been considering starting up a lucid dreaming meetup group in my area. However, I am not sure what good activities we could do outside of chatting about LDing in general. Any ideas? Time vs. number of people that attend is a big factor I'm thinking.

      Thanks for your thoughts.

That sounds great. I would love to be a part of a lucid dreaming group, if only I could find one. Would like to start something myself in the future too.

Other than talking about dreams in general you guys could watch movies, have some trips together as inspiration, meditate together, create dream characters and worlds together (try to share dreams as homework ). These are all just at the top of my head and of course might depend on time vs number like you say.

Mmmh. That's actually pretty hard to say lol. I feel like the first few times this would be awkward, but maybe some spoken lucid (or not) journaling ?
      I mean it's pretty obvious I guess but it's all I got

I would recommend asking ThreeCat, I know he had a lucid meetup in his area, but I never asked what they do at those meetups.

I think I would probably treat it like most hang outs I have. Just get some drinks (I drink pop so...) and pizza and just hang out. I would probably have some ideas on how I would want the group to go and ask the people there what they wanted. I would see if they wanted to just hang out or do an organized thing, what techniques they do, if there are any two person techs that they would want to try out, what their favorite things to do in lucids is, and what they plan on doing with their lucids. I am a very social person, so people getting here and it being awkward would not happen.

If you are just planning a short meet, like dinner, drinks, or some other brief get-together, I wouldn't worry too much about what to do or say. When we kindred spirits have a chance to occupy the same physical space together, there is no problem with what to do or what to talk about, it just sort of works itself out.

What I would recommend, just in case things get quiet or uncomfortable, is that you have at hand a list of discussion topics, and maybe a couple of memory games or something similar, though you may never get to them...and pick out whatever you want to discuss; it is your party, after all.

If you are planning a series of meetings, or a prolonged single meeting (like a weekend), though, it would be a good idea to have some sort of structure in place: plan out some activities, like specific discussion topics for each meeting... maybe throw in a dreamy movie or road trip as well to break up the day.

The bottom line, though, is that we LD'ers so rarely get to share our experiences and interests with other people who, well, care, just getting together seems and end in itself, and the rest works out just fine.

      Good luck!

That actually sounds really fun. Absolutely nobody talks about lucid dreaming where I live, or they don't even know about it at all. Maybe only 1 or 2 friends of mine have even bothered to try it, so it'd be really cool to meet up with others who are as into it as I am.
      Oof.

That would be great to converse face to face with another lucid dreamer, I few years back me and my friend use to talk about it all the time at school but since I moved states I've mostly been quiet and I've noticed that I don't really lucid dream as much anymore because I'm not constantly thinking/talking about it.
