Are some people born with perma lucid dreaming?

I've talked to 2 people who have never heard of lucid dreaming, that claim all of their dreams are 100% clear and realistic looking, and they have full control over them. Just kind of odd, because throughout my entire life my dreams have only looked as if I was watching a movie or are really foggy and have no control.

So is this possible? If so, these people make me so jealous... lol

I don't see why not. If Lucid dreaming is a skill, especially a skill in a format that is possible to do without noticing, then I think it;s perfectly reasonable that someone could LD without even knowing that it is something different than normal dcreams. They may think that unclear dreams, or dreams where they don;t realize they are dreaming, are unusual.

Yeap. There are, and people usually refer to them as 'Naturals' because they have lucid dreams naturally. (Without trying)

      I agree, I'm jealous :p

A girl I know has them all the time and always has done, yet she had no idea what lucid dreaming was

Ah the lucky, lucky naturals. They are lucky or unlucky... depending on their type <.<

Naturals are considered lucky because we got lucid dreams "for free", not having to go through the learning process and induction techniques.

With that being said, even though there are naturals who have almost only lucid dreams, I doubt there is anyone out there who have never had a non lucid dream. At least I've never heard of them, and I have talked to several people who are almost perma lucid.

That would difinately be cool to always be able to lucid dream.
I don't think I'm a natural, although I did start lucid dreaming before ever hearing of others doing it. I haven't always done it. I just happened to become lucid in a nighmare one day, from then on I knew it was possible so I would become lucid more often.
I'm only just now learning that there's a whole community of people out there doing this and experimenting with the dreams. I'm very interested in this now and I hope my skill at lucid dreaming will now get much stronger.

I think a lot of the people who say every dream they have is lucid just doesn't understand what lucid means =P

I think i'd rather be able to fully remember ALL of my "normal" dreams than be able to have the little control I have had in my LDs, everytime.

I suppose I am a little crazy though

I considered that also, until I read Luminous and Naiya's dreams. Now I'm convinced that some people really are lucid (almost) all the time. I'm so jealous of you naturals

Lol, to be natural would both be a curse and a virtue..
A curse as Lucid Dreaming wouldn't be THAT exciting as you wouldn't see it as being abnormal and you would've already experienced a lot of things...
A virtue as you would be able to LD naturally and it would be good if you want to attempt something new straight away

shrimpster has it right. As a natural I have LDs often, but I don't get as excited about it as people who have worked hard for it. But it is true that when I want to do something new in a LD I succeed quickly.

lol no don't be worried, that is nothing to worry about. Other than reviving a dead thread.

Basically, it just means that you will be more aware during the night and will be able to do anything you can imagine while in the dream.
