      Are lucid dreams lifelike?

I've only had about 10 lucid dreams so far and I remember all of them as blurry and choppy. So in my most recent one which was yesterday, I asked myself if this dream really felt like reality. And I answered yes. But are they really that life like?(I don't mean 100% realistic where you can feel pain or anything like that. I'm talking visually) Or is that just my sleepy dream mind thinking its this realistic?

They can be very realistic and vivid. They won't all be exactly like waking life in terms of vividness, and some will be more lifelike. Some will be animated.

After waking up everything will be more blurry in your memory but when you're in dream everything is perfect. If this is so much different why we don't realise this immediately? Try to think about it in a dream. Besides it seems to me that more control equals better vision (but maybe only for our memory).

Yes, they can be. I've had a lucid from a false awakening and it felt so real! I was "me" and in the present, I could feel the tiles under my feet and see some details. Of course when I woke up it seemed blurry and just became a memory, but then again, everything we are doing right now turns into a memory. <:

Mine are all 100% lifelike and realistic. I can get shot in a dream and pretty certain it would feel exactly the same in real life. Sex is the same feeling in a lucid dream as in real life as well. You will feel intensity and almost feel the dream it 'too real' at times.

They can be -- it's honestly a spectrum of experiences. Some I've had were blurry and dissociated, while others were extremely vivid and, well, lifelike.

Some are more vivid than real life. In occasions the vividness has made me wonder several times if I was really dreaming...

Usually they become a little blurrier after waking up though

Also, you can feel pain! I experienced this recently, some DC started pinching my foot with a needle and the pain was so intense. I managed to make it go after repeating to myself that I was dreaming. But if you allow it and believe it you can feel about anything...

All senses and sensations can be activated in the dream state
