I've been trying to LD for a while now through DILD or WILD. I've tried to get into Sleep Paralysis twice and each time I recieved the same results (which weren't bad for a start). I know since I am a beginner at lucid dreaming, you might say I shouldn't aim for SP right now and stick to DILD or something. But I also want to experience SP so I can also have a way to LD.
So these past 2-3 times I've tried SP, I do a WBTB first. Then I wake up and stay up for 20 minutes with lucid dreaming in my mind and repeat mantras. Then I lay back down and become relaxed and keeping my body perfectly still. After I do that, like about 15 minutes later I feel my body start to get heavy. My heart sometimes start to beat faster and my breath becomes heavier (I'm pretty sure that means that I am getting close to becoming paralyzed). But then I also have spit building up in my mouth and I end up swallowing it which requires moving my mouth. Then after that I feel like I messed up the whole process because I realize I'm not really feeling the same as I was (feeling glued to bed, breathing heavier). So the whole SP process ends up messing up and I don't end up getting in SP fully. So I am wondering if this has to do with me moving my mouth to swallow spit. Is it okay to move your mouth, or should I keep my mouth as still as my body? Because I think this mouth problem is causing the SP to end up being incomplete. Please help. Thanks.
