Avoid computers, phones or tv. I usually read a book or just relax to myself by meditating or some stretching. What a lot of people don't realise though is that you can only fall asleep if you're tired, literally. If you know your too awake, prolong the time you go to bed and try and find that 'sweet spot'.

Do vigorous physical activity during the day. You'll be out like a light at night.

I am joining this shouting crowd, avoid any kinds of screens and do a workout or something physical.

Before bed is a great time to meditate, to review dream goals and dreams. Review your day, try to recall as much detail as you can, strengthening waking recall also strengthens dreaming recall. Set intention to remember your dreams and to recognize the dream state. Write your DJ entries for the day if you have not yet. Relax, release tension, prepare for sleep. There's lots to do!

Are you that much addicted to the screens? C'mon man what do you think people did when there were no PCs and no TVs?

You could be very tired but still be kept awake due your mind being too active. If you can't fall asleep, try limiting your thoughts as much as possible, including thoughts about falling asleep.

I stopped lying down on my bed all day. Kind of like a programming that once I hit bed I'm going to sleep. Worked wonders.

If all else fails, maybe try simply going to bed a bit later in case you don't actually need that much sleep. If this causes you to be too sleepy when it's time to get up or during the day, though, then that may not be the right remedy.
