I don't entirely catch you point. Aren't we have the idea of a dream in dream simply being aware? May be I experienced what you are talking about a week ago: I ended up in some kind of a textil shop, and realized to 100% that I am in a dream. I even remembered that a dreamer should look for a "dream-band" in his dream. So I began to look for it but only some rags came up. I tried to keep an eye at my hands.
