What happens to the Rapid Eye Movements during a Lucid Dream? Do the eyes still rapidly move in the same manner? Is the movement effected by the Lucid experience in any way? Thanks, I'm just curious is all |

"The Universe is a dream dreamed by a single dreamer where all the dream characters dream too." - Arthur Schopenhauer

"Parable.- Those thinkers in whom all stars move in cyclic orbits are not the most profound: whoever looks into himself as into vast space and carries galaxies in himself also knows how irregular all galaxies are; they lead into the chaos and labyrinth of existence."- Friedrich Nietzsche, the gay science, First published in 1882 revised in 1887, translated by Walter Kaufmann [/SIGPIC]
The theory I heard is that the rapid eye movements are simply the eyes' response to the imagery you're seeing in the dream. In other words, they move around just as they would if you were seeing the same thing while awake. So, there would be no real difference whether you are lucid or not. |
