Instead of saying 'i will become lucid' or 'i will know im dreaming' i tend to say to myself before sleep something on the lines of 'i am in bed now so if i am somewhere else soon then i am dreaming'.
Id love for it to work...for me to be in a dream then realise my mantra and think oooh my real body is in bed right now so im obviously dreaming!
So instead of using a mantra to do with a reality check such as ' i will check my hands next time im dreaming',would it work to just remind myself everytime before i go to sleep that in fact i am in bed right now so anywhere else i find myself bieng at will be a dream?
I hear that long mantras are not the best but on the other gand if i really think about what im saying then maybe itll work? Thanx
