What do you usually do in a LD?

      Hello,

this is a thread about what you do usually in a Lucid Dream, when you don't know what to do. Just answer and write what you do most frequently in a Lucid Dream.
For me, this is flying, sex, and talking to yourself. Talking to myself is so funny and you can find out new things about yourself. Flying, I mean who is not flying in a LD?
And about sex, who is not doing that? And, before I forget it, I also read the mind of dream characters. It is funny, like talking to yourself and you can find out what people think about you.
So what do you usually do?

As a novice experience-wise, I usually do plenty of reality checks and touch my hands, face, and then what I can in my immediate environment. I'm hoping to do more interesting things once I get more of a break for LDing again.

Usually end up doing a couple of reality checks then try to stay calm and clear up the dream state a bit before I get distracted with the urge to go off flying all over the place.

At this early stage in my lucid journey my fully lucid events are still pretty brief. I haven't mastered the calm part just yet so I always end up just taking off once I achieve full lucidity.

I do spend a lot of time in partial lucidity where I am acutely aware of the dream state and I can clearly observe what my subconscious is showing me.

As an older oneironaut I am honestly not all that interested in sex and adventure in my lucid dreams. I've had plenty of both already in my life.

I mostly want to use my lucidity to find out more about who I am deep down inside and maybe learn how to change some deep seated karmic ways while I still have time.

When you next stand at cliff's edge....will you finally learn to fly?

When I don't remember the dream goals I actually set for myself, I float around, do stuff related to the current dream plot/setting, manipulate objects and see what I can do with them (changing their color, shape, etc) or just look for sex. I do this stuff pretty often because I always seen to forget my goals, or rather I forget to remember them.

Don't mind me. I'm just a ghost that shows up from time to time.

If I've got nothing better to do (or, more likely, forget what I actually would want to do), I usually fly around, shrink myself, and/or look for a fight.

My favorite thing to do is to fall. I'll fly as high as I can, and just let myself drop. It's a completely different type of excitement and sensation than flying!

Hey, I usually fly as well, sometimes I swim in the air I also like jumping really far, breathing under water, slowing down the time. Now trying to communicate more with dream characters in order to find out more about myself, like what are my fears to face them, or to find some teacher and to talk to my younger self and tell him everything is alright. Good luck with anything you do!

I'm like most people I enjoy flying, when it works anyway haha. I sometimes just do big jumps instead or glide around on the surface if not. I like to interact with dream characters and attempt to manifest things. I got pretty good at manifesting small objects you can fit in the pocket. I usually just imagine it is there and then reach in the pocket and retrieve whatever I conjured up. I decided to try and make a waking-life dream character appear and I failed many many times but just recently succeeded and I was so happy their face stayed the same the whole time we talked (usually it would be distorted or changed if I looked away and then back in previous attempts). My next goal is to make some kinda x-wing spacecraft thing appear and take it to the stars. It should be hard considering I never manifested anything bigger than a cellphone haha. I plan to just know it is somewhere in the area and go find it, as that is how I found the real-life dream character.

Anyway, setting goals helps keep it all interesting so I highly recommend that (whoever started that on DV props btw). Happy dreaming!
