Strange, it seems like nobody's mentioned what seems, to me, like the most obvious thing to say.

This isn't just your problem, this is the exact problem everyone that doesn't naturally LD tries to overcome. You're barely concious to unconcious in dreams, which is why afterwards it seems like the dream was a movie that sort of happened to you, which is practically true, although technically, everything you did in the dream was your own choice. You just made the choices without thinking about it, like you do with many things in waking life.

The solution to this problem, seeing as the problem is learning to induce lucid dreams, isn't simple, but the best tips have already been given by Gwendolyn, pj and danbarber (i.e reading EWLD, browsing through the tutorials, practicing induction techniques and especially have a lot of patience)
