Yes it is, but it's also a reason why you awake from lucid dreams, excitation tends to wake you up.

That's where relaxation methods come into play

I used to but because they are so normal for me now i don't get that sudden excitement/rush anymore. I think it fades with lucid experience.

Once you can learn to control your emotions on becoming lucid you will get longer lucid dreams.

Indeed, fortunately, it becomes much easier over time.

It's funny, in three out of four of my LD's, I got really excited when I found out that I was lucid. And I then went on in the dream for at least another twenty minutes or so. I think it's because I read one of BillyBob's tutorials about how we wake up from excitement only because we've been told that we will (schema mentality). Same with sexual stimulation, though that actually has woken me up every time, even in non-lucids.

To answer your original question, yes. It's one of the best feelings in the world, knowing you can do whatever you want.

Man, it's been to long since i've had a lucid, but yeah it is a great feeling. It's like the last day of school before a break. You know that only freedom awaits you. Except in a lucid, you can do a lot more shit.

P.S. - I've never woken from having Lucid Sex, just for the record.

The weird thing for me is that no matter how excited, nervous or whatever, I never woke up during my LD's, not even during the sexay parts.

At the beggining, I felt it for sure. It was like a bright light suddenly appears from nothing (or something like that, I'm very bad at metaphors nowadays).

Now it's more like "I'm dreaming, that's nice".

yeah i know this feeling quite well, it faded with time but now i had not been practising for over 1 year cause i also had to stay away from my naughty addiction to astral travelling, so i had stoped lucid dreaming as well cause otherwise the temptation to start travelling was way too strong, Now I started again cause i think I've managed to kick the stuff, and this rush comes back when you havn't been doing it for long... hmmmm maybe it's also an addiction in this sense.

of coarse I get the rush!! .. Though, the feeling I get when I'm lucid is bliss.True Bliss.

And when I awake I feel peaceful

Its always like a wish that comes true. The sensations rush in...an awesome realization that I'm LD and about to do things that are impossible in the waking world.
Standing there, fully lucid, I feel like a super being.
I ask myself what will I do this time.
I'm walking around in a dream world that I rule.

I had a lucid dream this night, but it was a wierd one. I did not do any methods but after i did rc's often before i can sometimes know when i should do one.
So i go to bed, and fall asleep and suddently i realize that it is completely black in front of my eyes but i really could not feel my body in the bed. So i pinched my nose and breath in and it worked so i knew i was dreaming. But i had no idea how i could do anything cool when all i saw was black. But i think i jumped into a picture or something! Dont really remember it.

That feeling is always great . Unfortunately it usually wakes you up. But if you think that feeling is good, wait until you fly and free fall. Also, wait until you start having ultra-vivid lucids. I've had maybe one or two lucids that I can say were......... what I would describe as more detailed and vivid than.....than real life itself. It's ecstacy. But the goal is to not wake up.... your amazement happens to be your downfall more often then not

In my lucid experiences (8 for the record) it all depended on my level of lucidity, etc etc.

Take for instance my first lucid dream, I'll always remember it. After doing the clock changing/text changing reality check for a few days, I was in a dream one night, in which I walked into my room. Everything was completely normal, but I just happened to do a reality check and... BAM!

"OMG OMG I"M DREAMING HOLY MOLEY ROLEY POLEY OLEY!"

I run out of my door, and jump into the air, and try and fly. I failed, of course, and for this reason, my first LD was about 25 seconds long.

The next one I had was about 30-45 minutes long, because it turned out... like this...

One of the dream characters in my dream had just fallen about 40 feet, landed on his head, and got up like nothing had happened. Something kicked in, and I realized that I was dreaming. I stopped, looked at the other DC's, and laughed. "well, this time I won't try and jump out a window..." I said outloud. Instead, I gently floated down the ground, and continued on to have so much fun, it was because I had not gotten that rush, I had already suffered from it once.


LONG story short, it fades over time, and it's all about self control, and once you realize you're dreaming, stopping yourself and controlling the urge to rip off your pants and dance like an idiot (maybe thats just me?)
