My cat is killing my WILDs

I just recently got a cat about 2 months ago. Well, I've tried to have some WILDs early in the morning, and as most of you know... Cats are nocturnal animals.

So, everytime I'm still for a very long time one of two things happen.
      1) She scratches at my door so I can open the door for her to come in.
      2) I left the door open and she comes by and licks or rubs against me.

Both totally kill whatever progress I had. Advice?

Leave the door shut for a couple of nights but don't attempt a WILD, and just sleep through the scratching. She should learn that when the door's shut, she can't get in. Then try WILDing with the door shut and hope that she's learned.

That's exactly why I won't get a pet a friend of mine founda homeless cat and tried to make me take it in.

Anyway, try using earplugs? I always sleep with those because my friend who lives upstairs is also a nocturnal animal

Pin a towel up on your door so when your cat trys to scratch it you dont get that scratching wood sound
You spend 1/3 of your life asleep, so why waste it?

the same damn thing happens to me.
Just ignore his cries to come in, he should learn, like Lord Toaster said

I'm in the same boat. My cat has ruined many LDs. One suggestion is to put tin foil on the outside of the door. I've never tried it but heard they won't scratch it.

      Invest in a basement.

Seriously though, we put our cats in the basement every night because they keep my grandmother up all night. Then again your cat might not be too happy about it.

My cat used to start yowling at about 4 am. We turned a radio on really quietly for him and a light on in the kitchen. I think he was just bored. The little bit of stimulation has made him shut up.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

I'm so glad my cat isn't like that. She's very well behaved. We sleep together at the beginning of the night, but she leaves the room until morning when I prepare for a WBTB (she leaves naturally. Probably because she was bored of my room). She only meows... On command! Seriously! XD

She used to paw at my face in the morning to get food (yet another trick I taught her: "wave hello"), but she stopped once she realized that she only gets food if she waves in the air, and on command. <3

Make sure you have food/water/litterbox outside of your room. Especially food (in the morning, I bet that's what they want!).

How about something that cats hate? Does anyone know how to get her to stop scratching at the door with some sort of odor?
