LD support computer program. What should it be like?

I often work with the computer. I am a programmer and would like to start an initiative to create DreamViews supported program to aid in our lucid dreaming experienced.

What would you expect from computer program which could aid you in your exercises

To start you, Here are my suggestions
      • Dream journal
      • Dream world map
      • Dream signs search
      • Time scheduler
      • ...

It should be something like your personal lucid dreaming program.

That would be complex to program but innovative and really cool!

I think a dream journal would be really good, and something that highlights your dreamsigns in your dreamjournal entries or whatever.

Perhaps a graphic organizer of recurring DC's with their looks and personalities and all that jazz.

Some software on it could randomly popup the text "You're dreaming" or something like that, and quickly remove it. So it's only there for a frame or two. Your conscious mind wouldn't see it, but you're unconscious mind would. Like that software called Brain Bullet or something.

That would be soo awesome especially the Dream World Map. I think there could be like a Reality Check timer and a planner for what you will do in the next lucid dream.

I guess the dream sign indicator would work like this:

It would list the words seen most frequently in descending order, omitting the obvious unimportant articles, prepositions, conjunctions and such. It'd also have an option to allow the user to omit words as they see fit (because one person cannot omit all useless words!). You'd come up with a list of nouns, feelings, places, and people, that you could base your reality checks off of.

Also, it'd be neat if there was an Easter Egg that occasionally warps some part of the desktop, perhaps via screensaver. Warping the clock during this would be neat, too.

I could try and make something like have a thing that when you're on your computer it pops up and tell you to do a RC and also have an integrated Dream journal in it.

It would be useful to have something running in the background, giving both visual and audio subliminals, as well as random RC prompts (perhaps a voice asking "are you dreaming?)

I was actually working away on my PC in last night's dream and when I woke-up I thought 'damn, why didn't I check?' But the truth is, I rarely perform reality checks whilst using the computer.

What i would want would be a place where i coudl write down all my dreams. (Dream Journal). I would also want to be able to add pictures that i have drawn with paint, right into the text. Once i'm done writing the dream id add some keywords for later reference.

After recording dreams i would want to be able to search all dreams by typing in a few keywords. The search could reference with the dreams keywords and text, poping up with results. (Easy way to get your dream signs)

The program should have tutorials from the site (with permission of the authors)

Thats what i can think of.. i'm very interested in this topic, if you need help..or anything pm me.. i can't wait to see this program

This sounds like a nice tool to have available through Dreamviews. Since I use my computer a lot more than I use good ol' pen and paper means, something like this has more value for me. Some good ideas as well, such as searching through dream journal entries by keywords and so forth and so on.

I do wonder how the Dream World Map will work. That is the one thing I am really curious about.

Each dream is divided into dream fragments. Each dream fragment can have a place associated with it.

Dream fragment description = place description + DC description+ dream content
And now. As you have place description separated from content itself. You can work with places separately. You will build list of your places overtime and add them to the 2D space {maybe I will make automatic placement overtime}.

If you have more questions, please ask. I know my description is not full, yet, I hope it helped a little.

One more thing. As the things became separated, it opens new ideas for exploaration. We might add support to see dreams as routes in dream world and maybe add some additional logic above it, to find some more interesting aspects of our dream worlds. {recurring dream world routes. our dream world visit density}.

Now that is definitely intriguing. It will take some clever programming, but when it does get implemented, I think something like that will definitely be useful in the long-run. Not so much when you first start using it, but after a good period of entering dream details, etc, then it will show its benefits.

Oh, and perhaps have something to analyse dreams by date? In case one gets recurring dreams or themes along certain times of the year, etc. Might be useful as well.

To see how waking life and dream like are possibly connected, there could be a waking life journal as well as a dream one, and key words or something could be used for analyzing.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but something that was a timer that popped up and said "Reality Check" every 15 minutes or something. That'd be super cool.

Do you have any idea how long this would take? I'd love to have it on my PC.
You do this every fucking time.

You should have a Dream Goals checklist (like a to-do list). also i know its been said but make sure to add something so you can draw for the journal (like a too hard to explain thing). Also it has to be very neat and organized for it to work. With the dream map would that be so you could make your own map for recurring dreams? sounds like a good idea im just kind of confused with it. Altogether it sounds like a great idea and if you manage to do that you will be a dreamviews god!

What about a global check list? theres a daily challenge.. weekly challenge...monthly... yearly.. idk w/e

but you get your challenege of the day.. weeek.. w/e

and if you complete it you get your name on the list of who completed it when.. and you have to write about it.. and anony that didnt complete cna read about how they can complete it..

if this program comes out ill be whicked happy.
