Turtle or Cheetah.. Whats better for learning LD?

You know the turtle, its sloow, moves slow, but is persistent.
Cheetah is fast sprinter, but after each sprint it needs time to replenish powers.

Now let me transform this analogy into real question. In your opinion. Is it better to:

      1. not take as much on shoulders {not be as strict} and move slowly without pause, to make steady progress.
      2. Try to achieve as much as possible in short time, while diminishing your reserves.
This two choices are not the only choice, still they represent two extreme poles. Which pole do you think is more effective in long term?

      Plz vote and reason

      churtle. Persistant fast, sprinting. lol.

Im not actually sure, a very good question...something I wonder too.

I tend to DILD most when I have been busy and have accidently reverted to Turtle approach. But whenever I've rarely induced them through wbtb, its been a cheetah week lol

I reckon the best would be the persistant habits of a turtle, combined with the occasional short sprint of a cheetah when motivation arrives

??? Your question confuses me. Exactly what "reserves" would you "deplete" by giving lucid dreaming full attention/your best effort?

matters what the goal is. lets say lucid dreaming, rabbit is hopeless because LDing takes time and patience which would be the turtle.lets say a days job, rabbit, you want to get it done now do it in one swoop.

I would go with the cheetah... You might not know the next time that you'll have a lucid dream, so I think that you should try everything... Also, if you learn something in a previous lucid dream and then you don't have one for a while, you might forget what you've accomplished...

Try hard at the start, put as much in as you can, build good habits, and if you succeed, or get frustrated, don't think about it for a while and see where that goes.

So cheetah as long as you can before you get frustrated or start losing sleep, then turtle for a while. It's all about knowing yourself, whether you are apt to lucid dreaming naturally or not, and changing your approach when necessary.

A cheetah knows when to wait it out, just as he knows when to sprint into action. A turtle never needs to move fast, as he has natural protection, and never has to catch a meal.

so I guess I second Churtle

Yeah I like that answer too. Steady progress withouth effort doesn work as good as it should. Churtle approach seems really promissing. But as you said Cheetah knows, when to use his powers and start sprinting. And turtle holds you on the task. The combination would be perfect.

Still its a dynamic balance between usages of two extremes. It could be also interesting to research what are the signs, which tells us to change the style from cheetah to turtle and vice versa.
