      I completely gave up video games for Lucid Dreaming. I got so into the games that they took all my attention away from dreaming. So video games not only takes my Lucidity away, But all dream recall as well. It wasn't always that way though.

      Also when I'm very very tired, I just pass out with no recall. That's why I take naps when I get home from work. The nap takes care of most of the deep sleep, then I will usually get a bunch of recall at night.

      Sometimes I do get recall in my naps though. And every now and then a nap Lucid. But most of the time I don't remember anything from them.

      So you're saying I must give up anything that might relate to games if I want to have excellent lucidity or recall?

      Tiredness due to an irregular schedule would be a bad type of tiredness for LD´ing.

      By the way, I play a lot of video games but I have no problems with LD´ing or dream recall. As long as you´re not playing 24/7 (see some of the real world!), you should be fine.

      Does smoking pot effect lucidity? I smoke pot regularly and I find it doesnt effect my dream recall.

      How long ya been smoking for? Cause I've been a daily smoker for about six years and I find if i do go a day or two without smoking, I remember more dreams those nights than I know what to do with. I'm even considering cutting back to see what thats brings me?

      I used to have Caradon's problem. But I've learned to balance the two hobbies, and all is well. If I play a videogame before bed, I will probably dream of it. If I reality check while playing videogames, this becomes advantageous.

      Of course, meditation during a WBTB is much easier for me.

      I wasn't saying anything of the sort. I was referring to myself only. Everyone is different.

      For me though, it's an easy trade.

      Sounds like Abra solved the problem. I tried that though and it didn't work for me. I got a new game, got into it, lost all recall, and it took me months to get Lucid again.

      Not sure if this has been mentioned before. But honestly, for me the one thing that will decrease you're chances of having a lucid dream is if you stress to much about it. Though, what will increase it will be the inner will I believe of truly wanting a lucid dream. But a dream journal helps as well

      Yeah, I agree. The more focused I am on getting Lucid, The more vivid and clear my recall gets.

      Stress does take it away, But anything I get over excited about, be it good or bad, makes my recall slip. Unless it's excitement over dreaming of course.
