People say that WILDs are longer and more clear. I'm inclined to believe that the first is true, because on average people don't become aware in DILDs at the beginning of the dream! |

The reason that WILDs are usually better than DILDs is because they are more logical. If you have a DILD, the logical part of the brain has been turned off for hours and your dreams are fuzzy and illogical. If you wake up to WILD, the logic centre has been turned on and is still partially active, making your dreams better. Also works for WBTB, but not to the same extent. |

cool. i think im going to give it a try tonight. ive been experiancing sp my whole life we before i found out about lucid dreaming, but ive never really had any hullicinations during them, wonder how thats going to go. im excited and nervous at the same time!!! |

I've had both WILD's and DILD's and I would have to say WILD's are far more realistic and vivid than any DILD I've ever experienced. in fact my first lucid was a natural WILD. and I practically shit my pants when i realized I was dreaming. I aslo find it much easier to lose lucidity in DILDs and much easier to wake up as well. WILD's are bit tougher to come by (at least for me) to come with a far greater reward! |

I agree. I had a few wilds and the detail is amazing. I mean you see every single blade of grass or every tiny bump of texture on the wall. DILD's are fun too, since your probably not 100% lucid like a wild, so you go along with the dream adventure, whatever it may be. |

My WILDs tend to be short, unstable, and unsurprising. Probably because I usually WILD after about 7 hours of sleep (my dreams just before getting up for the day usually are a bit unstable). |

Some of the DILDs I've had have been incredibly detailed aswell. One particular DILD felt like it went for at least hours once, and I spent some time examining the remarkable detail on doors and things, but eventually I got freaked out and thought I was in a coma or something, because after all that time I wanted to wake up and couldn't. |

DILDs can be just as good as WILDs, and, depending on how used to WILDs you are, better. If you are used to WILDs, then you might get a bit lazy on the whole awareness aspect of it. |

I like both DILDs and WILDs, but for different reasons. My DILDs can be real fun, because I already have a dream storyline to go with. I can go with the flow of the story, and have some amazing experiences that would be hard to come up with if I was just standing in my bedroom, lucid after a WILD. |
