I recently had my first false awakening, and it wasnt like I thought it would be. I dreamed that I had woken up from a dream, and I had to write it down in my DJ. Of course it didnt work, because everytime I tried to write the words kept changing. About a minute later I woke up for real and kicked myself for not noticing and doing a RC.

I'ver gone through entire days of fdalse awakenings, which can really screw up my life. One I false awakened for longer than a week, and let me tell you, it's no fun going to bed Friday and waking up last Wednesday.

Wow, that seems extreme to be in a dream for that long...normally mine are limited to one or two tasks, perhaps better dream recall would help?

Yep. Usually, false awakenings occur minutes before the actual awakening anyways.

The most interesting FA I've had was in a foreign setting. I woke up in a hospital, they said I had an alien eye, and were monitoring it during sleep. Once they told me, they put me back to sleep. Talk about creepy!

False awakenings can be super realistic. Always check when you wake up!

It's funny because during my first lucid dream I tried walking out the door in my room and I had a false awakening, but I didn't think about it as an FA I just thought I teleported back to my bed and I continued with the dream.
