Thread: Why do you want to LD?

I don't want to escape reality, But lucid dreaming is nothing but ultimate freedom, as we never will experience it anywhere else at any time in our life. In my opinion Lucid dreaming should be a lot more popular, all those people lack such an amazing experience.

I'm a songwriter. I'd like to at least try to find one of my own CDs (one of them I haven't written yet) and put it on. If I could retrieve some of that out into the waking world, that would be a fun way to write songs...

Im very curious - I want to know whats in the box.

I love reality and I love unreality also - doubly so when both blur together.

I seek the state of superconciousness. Some say the goal of attainment and enlightenment is to have both the concious and subconcious (the ego and id) awake, alert and working together.

I seek the best part of me. Some say the best part of us all is deep within, beyond the petty vagaries of the ego and the animal needs of the lower mind. I want to find this "best of me" it and ask it to show me.

I love altered states of conciousness - the more alternate the more I like it.

I cherish freedom and free will - and you're never more free than when you're within.

I have no fear, I adore the mystery, and I love the journey.

Because nothing is true and everything is permitted.

Because the mind is all.

Because I beleive in that which is above is the same as that which is below.

Ever since I can remember, I always wished that our bodies did not need to sleep, you could accomplish so much more with the extra time. You may not actually be awake, but
LDing allows you to be conscious more, so it somewhat accomplishes that.

Ever since I saw The Matrix I wanted to be in it. A LD is like the matrix on steroids, heck, you are the matrix.

So LDing has those two wrapped up, plus it is just plain fun. I am learning that there are so many other things LDing can do. I think the question is, why wouldn’t you want to LD?

Cause I hate dreaming plus I was thinking and I really want more LDs cause you can do anything you've ever wanted while LDing.

To have fun while experimenting and studying? How many of these threads are there already?

Right now, it's to work on my social skills. To practice talking to people and different social situations in my dream. Aside from that, it's all the other general do whatever you want kinda stuff.
