Hypothetical Question...Which LD length would you choose?

      Hi all ,

Just a quick hypothetical question for you to answer.

If you had a choice between having 5 LD's a week that lasted 5 minutes each and a choice of having 1 LD a week but which lasted for 25 minutes which one would you choose?

They're both the same overall length of time over the week of course, but which one?

I know what you're thinking, it has to be the 25 min one every time cos it lasts longer and you can do more stuff etc, but again it's only once a week.

I might actually go for the more regular even at 5 mins each because at least there might be more variety in the dreamscapes perhaps and you may gain more overall awareness from that in the future.

      Give us you thoughts

definetaly the weekly 25 min one. once a week is immensly good however long it is. but even for every day, 5 mins is crap.

to be honest i would prefer 5 LDs a year, each lasting a week lol

      How about 5 LD's á 25 mins?

No i think I would take the 25 minutes sometimes to do more stuff in 1 dream, but the 5 minute lucids would also be nice, depends on what you do. Me for example, I get a lot of ideas what to do during the week, so it would be nice if I could try them every day.

You still have to remember that allthough dreamtime is relatively equal to waking time, you can do a lot more stuff in 5 dreamminutes.

At the moment, fighting against my total dry spell, I actually would be glad to have 1 LD á 5 mins a week. Cus not having any since a few weeks or even month

      Cheers

Thanks for the replies guys I guess longer is better overall, but as you say, if you're in a long dry spell then anything is better than waiting.

To date both my LD's were minuscule compared with a whole 5 mins lol. First one was about 1 min 30s which wasn't too bad really, but the next one I got lucid, did a conscious nose-check which failed as it should do and then my dream-eyelids close what a bummer that was! all 20 seconds of it

actually now that i think about it, 5 mins is actually quite good, i just realised that all of mine have been 5 or less, yet i somehow was able to fit in a lot of fun.

so i guess this is a harder question than i thought. but maybe every day would make it boring or at least not as special and amazing.

I'd pick length over frequency, no doubt.
