I met up with a good friend of mine at work. I told him to look up the Astral Plane and he knew exactly what I was talking about! xD He used to be buddhist and was into meditation, but infortunatly he gave it up Maybe he can give me some insight though

I really don't see why not.

If I actually had Lucid Dreams, I'd be all over everyone with my dreams.
But so far, I tell people about lucid dreaming if the subject comes up. If they are interested, I might explain the WILd and DILD shortly.

Usually, that ends with them saying that they have had that kind of dreams before, and then continue to tell me what awesome shit they did.

Then I shut up because I haven't had any awesomes yet.

Seem like everyone around me is dead...

They can't seem to understand the fact they basically wasting each night where they could be doing anything they want. They act like it a lame flash game or something small...They should be treating it as a skill like drawing which can have great outcomes.

Guess everyone around me are too simple minded to understand.
Noticed things in my lucid dreams: Not scare of death (kinda forgotten Freddy special power of killing in dreams, opps?) Huge ego which cause me to summon monsters, most DC are useless and don't even speak.

How very presumptuous and simple-minded of you to judge people based on whether their interests revolve around what you find interesting.

I wouldn't call them simple minded. I'd just say that they're too ORDINARY. Too ordinary to understand. Too ordinary to get something so cool and extraordinary in their lives.

I did a presentation about it in front of my entire English class. Before that I had never mentioned it to anyone.

I still haven't told my family, but it's not something I would be interested in discussing with them anyway.

      Unhappy I told my therapisy

Anyways i use to have Lucid Dreams often, and i even managed to have 1 min dreams everyday until i told a friend of mine who then mentioned it to my parents and they took me to a therapist. I then told him and i went through a hypnosis experiment to REVERT me back to normal since then i haven't had a lucid dream. However, i realized that i wasnt crazy and Lucid dreams were normal so i tryed having them again and now am back but i still cant manage to have them. SO i am trying to hypnotize myself into having lucids but even then i am not as good as i was before. Even my regular dreams are less vivid..its like i am a zombie an my dreams are barely there. Its sad because i cant even sleep well... help

I told to some people, but they didn't seem to understand or to get interested in what I told them.
In our dreams we can draw upon the entire store of our knowledge; we are no longer limited to the tiny portion that we have conscious access to.

wow dude that's sick. What about finding that therapist or another one and asking him to reverse this? Honestly how could they do that to you??

However remember that whatever the "nazi therapist" did it's still your mind and your subconsciousness. you have the power. keep a dream journal and read it before sleep, drink plenty of milk in the evening and tea at night, say mantras like "I will remember my dreams and they'll be vivid", and practice all sorts of induction techniques. In time, whatever he did to you will loose effect.

That is just insane! there is absolutely nothing wrong with LDing many people do it by accident all the time. As is mentioned above the entire matter really is in your head and with time you will be fine. If you want to go the route of extra material to increase vividness I would recommend 200mg of 5-HTP a day.

And since when did anybody consider lucid dreaming dangerous? There sure aren't any peer review articles on this. I would ask this therapist for "qualifications" you may have been treated by a cowboy practitioner.

i can't believe that freaking happend. i just really don't get it. lucid dreaming i believe is good for the mind. Exploring a picture that you painted, seeing what kind of weird things your mind holds. I would actually think a hypnotist would understand what lucid dreaming is. he could be some kind of fraud or just a cheap ass doc.

I wouldnt give up. just keep practicing. it is in your control.

I almost told my dad a long time ago, then realized I'd rather keep it a special thing and not make it public. If I could get anyone interested in discussing waking in a dream, I'd probably tell them about the induction part. I can see how the resemblance to all the pseudo-spiritual junk out there could definitely put people off though.

i think it would be just to weird to tell other people that you conjure up objects while your dreaming (and then they'd take you to the therapist, who'd put you on medicine )

      Lol @ "my therapist" option

I only tell close friends. There are few people I feel comfortable discussing lucid dreams with, and I only share my experiences with people who are open-minded enough to appreciate it or those who I know won't ridicule it.

Well, most people like to let their family and friends know about something as cool as Lucid Dreaming. I think the only way that any of them will pursue it provided they aren't interested in it, is if they have a LD of their own, so, that at least the concept that it's impossible will be gone
