      Exclamation Passive-Aggresive-Lucid

Okay, now that I have your attention, my topic is this:

Whenever I have a lucid dream (which I, in fact, control, slightly), I notice that the only control I have reflects things that I subconsciously think about. HERE'S WHAT I MEAN: I have this song that's literally, ALWAYS stuck in my head, and in a lucid dream I had, I was about to get in trouble by this person.

So, being that I was lucid, I essentially made that person break out into the song that's always stuck in my head. However, my concern is that it wasn't REAL control, because:

1-I didn't explicitly tell the person to do that in the dream
2-That song is always in my head

I don't feel as if I had real control in that situation because I just did something that I always think about: that's not control, that's jsut me being passive!

Any thoughts? Anyone understand? Anyone else feel this way?

I understand COMPLETELY my control is never direct... It's always passive... but I've been able to "make" passive thoughts in the sense that instead of putting my arm through a wall by just doing it... I half think about doing it and it works.

I really cant explain how that works but it definitely isn't direct control.

to be honest I know I'm dreaming and generally I don't try to change the dream I just enjoy it... like a few days ago I was being chased by a biker gang through a mansion so I stole one of their bikes and rode down an incredibly steep mountainous path... that was entirely passive and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

That's the only kind of control you can ever hope to have. The things you pay attention to directly or indirectly influence your dreams.

Experiment with it and see what you can do.

If it helps, I've had one really REALLY lucid dream where I did SOME direct/active control, but not that much... which makes me believe it was more passive than I thought.

I'd have to agree, most of the control I have doesn't come out too direct. This does not mean that it is not control though or it is not as powerful, it's just you need to figure out the way to properly perform control.

Usually if I try too hard to do something I will fail. The trick is to do and not try like Yoda says.

I find it best, to keep my goals in the back of my head and just believe it fully without going over the edge into trying too hard or thinking about it too much. When I think too hard or try to hard I most likely self-sabotage myself and fail.

Just had an LD now where I tried to summon someone which I usually have trouble with.

I just walked around thinking that she'd be behind me. I thought of it in the same way I expect to see the google page after I type in google.com.
It worked fine, in fact maybe too well cause the next 6 people I walked by were the girl I wanted to summon.

It's just going to be there because I know it is, not because I'm trying to summon it.

      I hope that makes sense.
