When I'm sick, (with a fever) I usually have very weird, vivid dreams. I'll try using 4 blankets tonight, and report back tomorrow. |

It seams that I wake up from all of my LD's (at least the more prominent ones) very hot and usually wrapped in all of my blankets. The times I go to bed chilled with fewer blankets I usually never dream at all. Anyone else ever wake up from most of their LD's with a bit of sweat from all of that flying around and FSU. |

Sounds to me like its just a way to keep your mind active and focused on heat which could form mental images leading to LDs. Just my opinion but that sounds logical. |

hmmm i try it tonight never even thought of that but now that u mention it, it seems pretty true for me |

Maybe the heat acts as a sort of EILD? |

No. If I'm too hot I can't sleep at all, I am uncomfortable and wake up often feeling crappy. I suppose you could turn those into WBTBs, but it's such a low quality of sleep all night that it's not worth it to me to even consider. |

Same with me. During the summer I initially have to sleep with the covers only over my feet until I wake up later in the night, or else the heat will never allow me to get to sleep. |

ANY time I have a controlled or lucid dream I wake up sweating. And my recall is, to my knowledge, pin-point accurate. and it stays with me, for as long as I care to remember it, I guess. |

hmm I've always found the exact opposite- overheating is detrimental to dreaming. an analogy I always bring up is "the body is like a video card if it overheats you wake up". Then again that's my personal opinion. What I know for sure is that body temperature does have something to do with LD's, though it's just part of the puzzle |

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
All I've heard is that when the temperature in your room is higher (but not too high), you fall asleep easier and have a better quality of sleep. |

DILDs: A Lot
I remember reading somewhere, can't provide a source, that the brain functions best when the ambient room temprature is somewhere in the upper sixties. Cold air can contain more oxygen (I believe) so that could be an explanation. Take what you want from that. |
