I feel like this, but I've only been trying to 3 nights, so I'm doing pretty normal right now. It's such a weird thing, I think once I have one I'll be a lot better off. |

It was just about one year ago that I first read about lucid dreaming. Unfortunately, I've had only 2 LDs so far! It's kind of disheartening to think I might average 2 a year. I Don't doubt its a questions on weather or not I'm interested! I've kept a dream journal... uh... on and off... (Busy you know?) and when i didn't keep one, I always awoke consciously remembering my dreams, I just had no time to write them down. I feel like all it will take for me to "Get it", to understand how to continue from reading tutorials to no results, to 1 a week, 2 a week etc, is to have just one LD under controlled conditions. i.e. A RC initiated DILD (Both LDs I've had so far, i kinda just knew, i didn't do a an RC or anything, i was just like Woah, cool, dream!"), a WILD, or a MILD. And its not like I don't try! I'm up often at 3:00, and many times i feel I've gotten close but no cigar. |

You know, I have known about LDing for 6 years now, and it was only in the past 15 months that I got anything over 1 or 2 lucid dreams per year. Trust me, there's hope |

4 and 1/2 years, shift? Damn, you are dedicated. I'll never look at your creepy smiley avatar the same again! |

Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.
I never knew such quizzes existed! Thanks! Well i took the first one WILD/DILD and got WILD, so i suppose the other one is less useful, but it took it and got "Reality Checks to Increase Awarness" I shall take both into account! |

That is some bad luck you got. But you got to keep trying as hard as you can. Keep your mind set towards achieving your goal of an LD. |
|
stop trying to dox me. your getting no where.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]
10-15min LD [ X] Article: A day in the life of an LD-er
the "Mind V.S. Body" Induction technique
Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
Oh I experienced a wall, 8 years with no sucess at all... nothing other than of course the natural ones. I wonder, has you tried everything in the tutorials? Because maybe thats the problem, take the one that works best for you, work on it, modify it so it fits your style, then enjoy, thats what according to me works the best <.< |

8 years? How did you stay motivated? |

That means you are not getting to know your dreams well enough to learn roughly how they work. You can pay attention to dream content and relate that to waking life content/actions and manipulate the incubation process from knowing how the dream got the 'theme' and from where. For me there are 2 parts to a dream..the base which is reality or real experiences in your lifetime and there is the other part which is non-reality and abstract and not part of my daily life. Knowing how your dreams work makes it easier to navigate and 'implant' reality checks. |

Haha. I am going to try my hardest to stay motivated, but 8 years...damn. |

Initially you really have to work at it. |

Lucid Dreams:-
MILD/DILD: 79
WILD: 13
DEILD:13
(TOTAL: 108)
After a year with no results would put me off trying. But then again, I'm quite lazy in that respect. |
|
DILDs- 14 (January 1810)
WILD- 9 - (December16 2009 20)
I've been at it for a little less than a year, and have had three DILDs, and a bunch of close calls where I had high awareness, but never quite got lucid. I had hoped for better results, but it's very hard to maintain awareness during the day, as I'm a programmer. Once I get "in the zone" and start cranking out code it can be literally 3-4 hours before I stop to realize what has happened -- that's a good thing for my job, but a bad thing for getting LDs. |

I gets hard for me (thats what she said) to do the dream journal. I am just so damn lazy when I 1st wake up. |

I find that I become less conscious of dreaming when I stop daydreaming or using my imagination while waking. When I force myself to imagine things or scenarios to a certain length my conscious of dreaming seems to get better at night. |
