Do you have a song that Inspires you for lucid dreaming?

      Whats up forum?

As the title suggests, Im asking you all to post any songs that inspire you or motivate you for lucid dreaming.

Also, do you know of any music written specifically about Lucid dreaming?

For me there are two songs:

Gone in the Morning - Newton Faulkner

Aenema - Tool (someday I just need to pray for chaos and title waves, just to watch it all come falling down in a dream...)
      Pardon me while I burn,
      and rise above the flames.
Helpless as a stinger without a bee.

Goals: -see a new color-----Properly stabilize my dreams--

Well, there is a Franz Ferdinand song Lucid Dream (but i havent heard it lol)

I just found a band BATTLES, and the music is so out there that it puts me in a mindset where I want to do things like lucid dream. Same with some Mars Volta stuff. Usually thought provoking music gets me pumped about lucid dreaming, because I have never had a lucid dream yet, and there are alot of things I want to find out about myself through dreaming.

Alot of epic music from movie/video game soundtracks: Lord of the Rings, Zelda, Spiderman, etc.

And there's alot of anime music that makes me long of living an animated second life :3

The song "Lux Aterna" By Clint Mansel is epic and can be used to inspire a dream. Not joking the name of the movie it was made for is "Requiem for a Dream" (p.s. not about dreams)

there are two versions I prefere the one without the vocalizing
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKLpJtvzlEI

there are billions of remixes and even though it is a little long it is truly epic
it was also used in the trailer for "Lord of the Rings the Two Towers"

Because I know deep inside we all prefer youtube links. Beautiful vocal trance for the beauty of the dream state.

If I ever lose motivation for lucid dreaming I just listen to this/imagine what it would be like to visit some of the places in my lucid inspiration folder (I posted the links to all the pics around here somewhere)

EDIT: Also, there must be at least 100 of these threads already

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Am I right? I just came to think of it as I read your post. It's a great song... but nothing I would use for lucid dreaming, though. Crazy music always cracks me up. If you've listened to Caramelldansen you would know what I mean. That kind of music makes me want to have crazy wicked dreams. Mwahahahaha!

It's a theme that's been done a lot in many songs, it's very similar to a Cat Stephens song too.

In fact the nearest song to it that i've heard is by the french singer Alizee.
She, wins, not because of originality... but just because of the way she dances (especially the bum wiggle)

      check her out...

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmozp8F5aHw

(also... interestingly, for most men this video acts as a kind of optical illusion... if you pay attention, you'll eventually notice she's actually on stage surrounded by people, and there are guitar players in the background... most guys have to watch this video several times, before they can see anything other than her bum wiggling haha )

In any case... this video has just inspired who i want to meet in my next lucid

I like "Dream at Tempo 119" by Silversun Pickups. It always makes me think of a WILD for some reason.

i took my seat and stared
at the cardboard screen while no one cared
      while the lights stayed on
the familiar buzz was now long gone
      i just waited there
as the music soared into the air
      as the lights went down
she said don't open your eyes
I also like when it stops, pauses, and then continues and he says "I couldn't end it there..." Makes me think of waking up then returning to a dream. I'm sure that is not what the song is really about. It just holds that meaning for me.

Woah! Tool, TMV, and Battles? You guys have good taste in music.

The entirety of the first three maudlin of the Well (yes, lack of capitals as such) albums were "found instead of written" through the usage of lucid dreaming and OOBEs. They are one of my all time favorite bands (though Toby Driver's (composer, etc.) best work was Choirs of the Eye by Kayo Dot) and learning how Toby had written the music was one of my main motivations towards lucid dreaming.

I like quite a few songs that are dreamy in nature, but here's a few.

      First, a King Diamond instrumental
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBRF3nPmzn0

Also Kate Bush's "Hello Earth" very relaxing.

And finally, one for any aspiring LD flyers out there Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly

      Creed - Higher

ofcourse, most people know the song. But no body seems to know it was written literally about lucid dreaming.

Also its a very good song, not just in its subject. It amazed me when I learned one of my favorite songs was written about lucid dreaming.

"The song was written after Stapp used the technique to stop a recurring nightmare he had been experiencing in which he was pursued and killed by a gunman. In the dream, he would turn left at the end of a highway and hide under a bridge, only to be found by his assailant and shot. When he had studied lucid dreaming and tried the technique, he was able to turn right and escape the gunman. Stapp stated that after he wrote the lyrics, he never had the dream again." ~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higher_(song)

      Eve 6 - Nightmare

Basically a song about being a hero in your dreams, plus mentions of sexual dreams. Gawd no other band can sing songs that relate so freaking well to me .

And Nocturnal Emission by Eleventeen (pre-eve6, my favorite band)

      http://www.eve6mediahq.com/Audio%20-...20Emission.mp3

Sounds very much like he's singing about having a WILD in detail.

The Dream of Evan and Chan by Dntel and
Sleeping In by The Postal Service

Both are about regular dreams, but they remind me of lucids
      It was familiar to me
The smoke too thick to breathe
      The tile floors glistened
      I slowly stirred my drink

I was going to mention maudlin but got beaten to it dagnabbit! I know the latest release by Isis called Wavering Radient was inspired by dreams, don't know if LD's were a factor. As for my personal song that inspires me to LD I would have to go with...

Burzum - Rumdgang um die Transzendentale Säule der Singularität

Burzum probably isn't the best thing to listen when falling into sleep, but that song is LONG, trance inducing, repetitive, beautiful, and perfect tohelp relax my mind so I can get lost in a dream. I recommend it to anyone. The album Shadows of the Sun by Ulver has a similar effect and is an all around outstanding album anyways.
