Question How often do you lucid dream!

Are you often successful when trying to lucid dream. I have not been successful so far, any suggestions. How often are you lucid? (Lol I am at school on the computer typing this!)

I have had 1 lucid dream that I controled and wanted to LD that night. The 3 other's I had were un-intentional. About 1-2 times every 1-2 weeks

Focus on your best technique. Once you get that technique down, you'll have lucid dreams reliably (once a week or more!).

After a year of practice, I got it up to twice a week. After six months of ignoring my dreams for /realistic/ pursuits, the frequency dropped to once every other week (and poor quality). Getting back up there, though. DILD is great, for me, as the skills you acquire do not extinguish quickly or easily. Still had quite a few spontaneous lucid dreams even when not actively practicing.

I lucid dream regularly. I usually have 1-2 DILDs every other night. Oh and Abra has some good advice too
Lucid dreaming makes for a wonderful night's play.

when I initially got consistent, I was having about 4-6 a month. A few years have passed since those days and now I'm averaging about 10 a month.

I heard about lucid dreaming about 5-6 months ago from a friend and became lucid about once or twice a month but I would wake up immediately after I was lucid. Then beginning of this month I did some more research and tried to induce them plus I started keeping a dream journal, so after the first week I finally had a lucid without waking up immediately. Then a week after that one I chained about 2 lucid dreams twice in one night using DIELD, plus had 1 DILD.

      whenever i meditate

Hello everyone, I find that if you do passive meditation and your emotional state is stable, it's pretty much a given it will happen every time.

Varies depending on how much time/effort I put into it. Once a week isn't too uncommon, though.

1-3 times per week, depending on effort, technique and luck. had one today...
I do not understand people that struggle to have 1 ld per week- to me it's like a given minimum- must be something wrong with their technique or they simple can't accept that they are capable of more
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
      TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

I just started, but I've had some success. I had two last week, and one so far this week, but I'm trying to focus on getting more.

Mindset has a lot to do with it. It's difficult for me to concentrate on my awareness during the day, as I'm a programmer. At work I need to fall into a "code trance" and spit out high quality code continuously, which is anathema to the whole "gotta be aware of your surroundings" mantra. If I stop myself every so often to do RCs and whatnot, it breaks my stride and I have to start all over -- this severely cripples my productivity.

I have better LD results over the weekend, when I'm able to concentrate on something other than how hundreds of thousands of lines of code interact.

I've Lded twice since first learning about lucidity a few months ago..

At first LDing was all i thought about I Dream Journaled, Rced and even Attempted WILDS. Well i finaly had my first Dild and it was kinda Auto piloted i Noticed i was dreaming started flying and then woke up...

So i said screw this Ld crap and last night i had another one... That i actually got to control but nothing big i flew and fell a few times then i stopped..

Its still amazing your dreaming but yet you know that you are and can control the outcome of your actions and outcome of anything anything it still blows my mind,,, like Lding is just a figment of my imagination or just a dream......

When i first started i just thought that it would come soon, this is usually not the case it takes dedication and TIME... just dont become frustrated and even if you go a long time without Lding when you finally do it will be like you just read about Lding and all the frustration will be gone... just keep trying

Its just like losing your virginity... every missed chance brings dissappointment but the first time brings Hope lol good luck..

Typically whenever I want. And when I'm not attempting I occasionally have a DILD.

Def. proportional to effort, in a concentrated period i might manage 2-3 per week but during a period like exams where lucid dreaming isn't on the top of my list id be lucky to manage 1 a month.

When not trying I LD around 3 or 4 times a week. Other than that I can LD at will (more or less).
