      Trouble with DILD

Hey, I've been having tons of trouble DILDing. Admittedly, I haven't been practicing for very long (only about a week), but I already LDed once from a DILD, and I thought it would be easier to do it now that I LDed, but I haven't been able to for a few days. I think my problem is that I tend to view all my dreams in third person. Often, I'm not in my dream at all and am merely an omnipresent bystander. It's like watching a movie or something. The time that I DILDed was when I was viewing the dream in first person, and that was it. Can someone tell me if my viewpoint is the problem? And if it is, how do I fix it?

Well for one thing, you're just starting out, so don't expect a DILD every day. You'll probably get one once a week starting, and you'll get better and better. Just give yourself some time, and you'll be getting a bunch of LDs in no time

You should try and use 3rd person perspective as a dream sign. Though admittingly it is a tough one to use. Before falling asleep, think to yourself, if I am observing a series of events from a distance or seem to be in a third person perspective then I will RC. You could start imagining yourself in a 3rd person perspective throughout the day and use your favorite RC respectively! Good Luck!

Now, that is a good idea.

I may just use that too. I don't know why I've never thought about it before.
