      Dream Characters in Lucid Dreams

OK, these questions for ya, are all involved with dream characters in lucids:

-Do you want to have dream character company while lucid? Either through convo or just having them be there. Maybe you want them to just be there because you like the company .

I know I do! I will sometimes get freaked out without company!

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

      Not for me!

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

I have for one last night

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

No, and yes. It's kinda creepy . I think what they say, then they do. I try not to let this happen

Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

I do. I anounce that I'm dreaming to DC all of the time! Only in lucids will they give you their undevided attention

Tell me anything else interesting about dream characters in your dreams
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

-Do you want to have dream character company while lucid? Either through convo or just having them be there. Maybe you want them to just be there because you like the company .

Yep. In Lucids I tend to try to take characters along with me, either to teach them how to lucid dream or because it is a fun outing and I like having them around.

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

Now that you mention it, no.

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

      Yep.

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

Yes. I never know how dream characters will react.

Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

      I tend to.

Tell me anything else interesting about dream characters in your dreams

In one of my first lucid dreams I was "taught" to fly by this dream character. On some level I often assume in dreams that some DCs are other dreamers. Of course, I know they're not, but because of this belief I am often very keen to show them the ropes.

-Do you want to have dream character company while lucid? Either through convo or just having them be there. Maybe you want them to just be there because you like the company .

Yes I always like to have company, or there always seems to be people around anyway. In my lucids I almost always summon people I want to spend time with

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

Actually, no. But I seem to know what people have said to each other anyway ect if I left the conversation and then came back I would know what was said without being there

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

      Yep

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

Yes, they always suprise me. Especially last night, which I will descibe later. And yes sometimes I can almost put ideas in their minds of what to talk about

Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

I never have announced I was dreaming unless directly asked

-Tell me anything else interesting about dream characters in your dreams

Last night one of my dream characters asked me if he was real. It really suprised me, but I said no. I almost expected him to be sad, but instead he replied that we are only as real as we feel, and that everything in the dream world feels real enough. To prove this he made me feel everything within reach, which of course all felt normal, and then he even made me smell things! I was very suprised when my hands smelled like soap, but this could have just been my expectations. He then proceeded to tell me to value all the times we had together in dreams. He also reminded me of other dreams we have been in together, which really shocked me!

-Do you want to have dream character company while lucid? Either through convo or just having them be there. Maybe you want them to just be there because you like the company .

Not really, they usually try to distract me so I try to avoid them. stupid DCs...

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

all the time. just when I wake up, I have no idea what they were talking about. usually though, I'm the one who puts the words in their mouths - if you get what I mean.

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

Yup, only if I am the center of attention. If I am observing someone else, they usually dont pay attention to me.

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

of course. in the past all my dreams used to be mundane and predictable, but because I had started using that to my advantage to become lucid, it is now completely random, like the words coming from some DCs something i wouldnt expect them to say.

      - Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

No, they usually figure that out themselves...

-Tell me anything else interesting about dream characters in your dreams

sorry. there isn't anything interesting that i recall.

LOL! That was a creative way for your dream character to think about it!

I haven't had more then half a dozen lucids but I enjoy the company for sure.

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

Yes but only if I'm conversing with a group, not just walking by someone on the street.

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

      Sometimes.

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

Yes. One dream comes to mind where some guy was giving a speech and I approached my dad and asked him who the speech giver was. His response was simply "I don't know, but that son of a bitch owes us money." and then after a thoughtful pause. "I'm gonna go up there and kick his ass." I've never forced someone to say anything though.

-Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

I've told people I'm dreaming on two occasions, on both a few people look at me in shock, and a few just grin. But both times there was this unseen guy, with a New york accent, who shouted the first time "No one cares!" and the second time yelled "Get a job!". lol quite an amusing guy, I'll have to seek him out next LD

      Yay, survey!

-Do you want to have dream character company while lucid? Either through convo or just having them be there. Maybe you want them to just be there because you like the company .

It depends. I'm used to having DCs distracting me and being generally a pain in my lucids, so when it comes to doing fun stuff I'd rather not have them there unless they're just milling about in the background like extras in a movie.

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?

Sure, all the time. Sometimes I listen in. Sometimes I hear them talking about me! So rude.

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)

Yeah, they usually notice me, but only if we're the only ones around, like I'm in a house with a few of them or something. If I'm on a crowded street, I'm ignored.

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something

Hmm, I get them saying unxpected things a lot. I've tried to force them to say something, but it was more like they noticed me mentally trying them to say something and then they comment on it. So I haven't been able to force them to say what I want. I have been able to control some of the less intelligent DCs like puppets, though. So I guess for me it depends on the type of DC.

Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc

Yes, it's fun! But my DCs often don't believe me when I say it's a dream. The other night they were actively trying to convince me otherwise and prove me wrong. I was getting really annoyed with them.

Glad you like it! I would like there to be more survey threads. All of you seem to talk to your DCs in general quite often. I... don't. Even in a regular dream, I will talk to DCs, but not much, and they are, like, never face to face. I should start talking to DCs in LDs more often, can't control it in my regular dreams.

I like having DC's around during my lucid because that means they are stable and typically more interesting.

-Do you ever over hear any dream characters conversation with another dream character?
Not often, but sure. In group environments I hear DC's talking to one another.

-Do they ever react to you (if you're not talking to them)
Yep. I have many interactions with DC's that I never speak to. Also, if I'm doing something in a group setting there will be DC's that react to what I'm doing that I haven't spoken to.

-Do dream characters ever tell you something that you didn't expect to hear? Have you ever "forced" them with your mind to say something
Yes and yes. Unless I'm really trying to make a DC say something or I'm really expecting them to say something specific they will say something I don't really expect.

Do you like to be the center of attention? Tell EVERYONE there that you're dreaming, or announce something, etc
I sometimes do at first, but I feel my LD's last longer if I go with the flow.

Tell me anything else interesting about dream characters in your dreams
The more aware I am in the LD the less DC's are around and vice versa. Or, I'll be aware with many DC's around and they will be completely unresponsive like dolls. I wish there were more interactive DC's in my LD's.

Yeah, I have conversations with my DCs quite a lot. It's fun to find out what they have to say.

With some, yes, they are excellent fighters!

Of course! It is fun to know their secrets and use that for evil plots.

Forced, yes, they never like it, but brainwashing and puppeting does not like to hear.

Well, I don't like to tell them I'm dreaming, apart from when I kill, don't think I like attention <.<

Yes, I love the company, and they're usually friendly (or I'll MAKE them friendly). I usually just use them as instruments for flying - if I go for a fly holding hands with a DC I'm much more successful than if I do it solo. Maybe because I'm still a kid and more or less dependent on older more experienced people to guide me.

No they hardly ever react with each other.

Yes they come up and talk to me all the time.

Once a DC got angry at me because she suspected I was only 'using' her for flying, and she was all like 'but I thought we were friends...' and she refused to go as high as I wanted.

I always try to explain that I'm dreaming but they never believe me. I may as well be saying I came back from the future.

Once a DC fell in love with me, but that was a normal dream.
