Exclamation Lots of things to say on a long chain lucid dream

So, this morning I had a huge string of lucids. Only 2 of them weren't lucid, because they were FA. There had to be, like, at least 6 dreams involved in it . This probably happened because I woke up at 4 am, then fell back to sleep (unitentially!) Read what you like, I have a lot to say. Just had some questions and a couple of things that I wanted to say.

1). For the first time, on the second lucid string, I passed through a mirror. I was goin to show my sister how to do that, cause she was there. First, we tried it through a rug, it didn't work. Then, I looked at myself in the mirror. I saw myself, but I wasn't looking directly at me, that always seems to happen, no matter how hard I try.

Does anyone know why this happens or is there a name for this phenomenon?

So, I looked at my left eye. It looked rather strange. I only saw the eye, nothing else. It was blue and had very little of the white part. Also, my pupil was TINY! In real life, my eyes are blue-green. They looked much different in this dream. I think that it would be virtually impossible to have as small of a pupil than I had here. Maybe the me passing through the mirror thing happened on another lucid one... I don't exactly remember.

2). I was in a bathroom, and my mom was there. I successfully passed through the mirror! I looked back at my mom on the other side through the mirror, as if the back of it was a window. Then the same mirror and stuff was on the other side, one pace ahead of me. For some reason, I didn't want to go to a bowling ally (for some reason that is where I've decided that I wanna go in a lucid where I can pass through something). So, I went through that mirror, then another. Then I was like, I will be at a bowling alley next! And I did it! It looked like a very weird bowling alley.

3). In two seperate ones, I ran into two friends at school, and I was going to show them how to go through the mirrors. They never successfully made it though .

4). In another one, I took some cloud material and placed it down on the pavement, tryin to make it big enough to ride, then I got bored of it, and just barely started to fly.

5). In one FA, I was layin in my bed and it was very realistic. I was breathing hard, which, I do sometimes when I think about my breathing. It was annoying. Also, I thought that I heard music, but I knew that it was all in my head, and that they were hallucinations (not now, in the dream).

6). In another FA spot, I come out into the living room after waking up, and my mom and sister are there. I notice how the living room looked nothing like it does in real life, so I thought I was going crazy. I hugged my sister out of pure terror. She then tells me that it's not her, that I'm touchin some object. My mom explains to me that I am "half awake" and that I'm hallucinating. I hug her. Never was lucid here .

      A big question:

7). I know that you can do certain things to not wake up, have a FA, etc., but I do do those tricks where you focus on something, and I don't expect it to end. So why is it that they are ending so quickly for me? and, Why so many chains, with just a couple of FAs?

Sorry, I had so much to say! I didn't want to make a ton of threads on "one" dream, so I piled in everything. If you like read a number and respond to it, I don't expect you to read this whole thing!

Okay, in answer to the question at the bottom of the post, there are many reasons your dreams may be ending quickly, and among them are stress, experience, emotions, etc. Any other major changes could cause this...I actually have no idea...just ranting at this point. Good luck!

I know that you now know, but emotions, as far as being excited isn't an issue of mine. I've had many lucids before (well, compared to what other people have had). Also, I am not stressed out. I don't know exactly what you mean by experience...

Well, it seems like you've had a lot of lucids, so I don't think experience is the issue, but for a lot of people who don't have a lot of experience, it can be hard to control or maintain a lucid dream.

Perhaps it was just a freak occurrence and will never happen again...I don't know...

It has happened to me once before. I thought you meant experience, as in bein good, you meant the lack of it!

I would rule it out as an anomalous entity...it'd be most unlikely to have this occur on a regular basis (unless you expect it to). Good luck!

Ok, for the stability thing, what i always do is touch things in the environment. And not just touch them, i mean really run your hands up and down them and rub them. Lol that sounded wrong. But really, the other night i realized the dream and immdiately turned around, and started running my hands up and down this prickly pine tree, so as to create some tactile imagery.

And for your mirror thing, i dont know why you cant see your whole self. But i think its kind of the same thing that happens when your hands melt when you look at them. My guess is your brain is just not active enough to be able to maintain a stable image for longer than a few seconds, and thats why instead of seeing your whole body it just reduced it to your eye. Also, you said you were focusing on your eye, so it was probably your brains method of focusing in on the eye, and disregarding the rest of your body because your not interested in it.

I also couldn't look straight at myself, you know... A very indirect, perpheral vision kind of thing, you know?

That's weird. But i get that too, when i try to look at people's faces. I just cant seem to actually "see" their faces. I just kind of "know" who they are, but i cant look at their faces, even if im looking straight at them. My theory is that its just because its too much detail for your brain to handle during sleep.

But with practice it could probably be improved.

Yeah, I get why it happens normally, but I just was LUCID and I couldn't no matter how hard I tried. And it's me. I know what I look like. It's not like I was tryin to look at some stranger.
