And if you have nightmares anyway, you may experience fear in NON-lucid dreams anyway. So in fact, lucid dreaming could be good for you!

I've never heard any Christian view that dreams are from the occult...
Perhaps the idea of thinking that they are messages from something (dream interpretation?) is what's started the idea.

It will also help you write stories for school work. LD's and dreams generally are a perfect place to retrieve ideas imho.

Imagine your recurring nightmare monster appears. What do you do? Gain lucidity and smite the bugger!

Yeah, I've read more than a few threads from people who claim that demons or something are possessing them, etc. I don't buy it.

Think you are confused between lucid dreaming (In your own head) with OBE (out of body experiences) spirit supposedly being outside of the body.

Even if that is the case...It should be no more dangerous than the spirits you see around yourself in the physical realm already.

Everything you dream about is all in your mind. There is no way your mind could physically hurt you in any way during dreaming. As Naiya said, lucid dreaming is only knowing that you are dreaming while dreaming, so lucid dreams shouldn't effect the spirits more than regular dreams should.
