      Some Lucid Dream Quesions

I had a lucid last night, and I have a few questions:

When I spoke, my voice sounded far off and distant.

The whole world seemed darker (Light-wise, not evil-wise) then usual.

Are these just control problems? (This was my first *real* lucid dream - the other 2 were accidental, and very short.)

Most of my lucid dreams are darker than I'd like them to be, too. I think this may have something to do with the lights being off in the real world, and so it's mirrored in your dream.

As for the speaking, I find myself sounding a bit like I'm listening to myself talking on the other line of a phone, but it's not too different from my real voice.

If the dark's bothering you (which it probably is to some extent), I suggest saying 'increase brightness' a few times. When I do this, the brightness only increases a bit, which is annoying but it does work if you say it enough. Or, you can fall asleep with a lamp on beside your bed so the light mirrors in the dream too.

I'm not sure what to do about the voice problem, other than expecting yourself to speak a certain way (maybe think you'll speak a bit louder?). However, the lighting can be fixed if you know what to do.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Well, neither of them are really bothering me.
I'm not sure if this is because of the voice thing, but speaking caused me to wake up.

with me it's different for every dream. I have no trouble speaking in nonlucids, and at first I didn't in LD's as well till someone told me some people have problems with it, then I sometimes need to try a bit to speak. Depends on the person/mood/dream. I once had the opportunity to sing in an deep opera-esque vibrato voice in a lucid was aweeesome!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I couldn't fell anything either. I couldn't feel the ground, etc.

The sounds in my lucid also sounded a little far off, but I think that's normal for dreams in general

The world seemed normal for my lucid dream, but for my non-lucids it's always kinda darkened.

I'm not sure these were problems, but I think you should be able to control such things in lucids

Well, I also don't feel the ground in my dreams, but I know it's there, so that's not a problem. It's not like I'm gonna fall through it
