do you recall any dreams you had?

If not MrMod, I would really start on working with remembering your dreams.
Should get to remembering at least one dream a day.

Don't worry about when you'll get your lucid dreams too much...counting it as a success/fail really sets you up to anticipate disappointment and can put you into a system of perpetual self-fulfilling prophecy of "failing."

IMO, it's best to see it this way: pick a technique or techniques and decide on a realistic schedule by which you can do them. See your success as completing the technique, not as getting lucid. So say you want to MILD--if you MILD every night all week, then give yourself a big pat on the back for succeeding. Because you ARE succeeding. Whether or not you have gotten lucid you are STILL practicing the techniques and that is the foundation of lucid dreaming--so that is the important part. This way, your experience will be a positive one and any mental blocks of failing or not yet getting lucid should disappear.

Aw, I was going to say that

But more than just that, I would suggest that until you've gone lucid a few times, before bed you should watch/read something about lucid dreaming.

Several people on youtube have told stories about lucid dreaming, and back when I was just starting out, I found watching videos like that really set my mind on LDing and also made it feel very possible. And then I would go and read the tutorials here on Dreamviews so I knew how to do it properly. Like I said, that's just me talking, though...there's no official Internet Induced Lucid Dream technique that I know of
