Smile New way to slip in a dream

      Hi everybody!

Now, i sit here searching through dreamviews and an idea poped into my head like an internet ad.

What if when you are going to sleep, when you are lying in your bed, if you close your eyes and think about your dream in first person, go through the storie and try to slip into dreamland in seconds? I myself haven't tested it yet, but i am gonna try it tonight.

Have anyone of you tried it or is it still a way to slip into a dream that alredy exist?

ya this is a technique that already existed it is called WILD (Wake initiated lucid dream) it means that you let your body falling asleep but let your mind consious. It is one of the best thecnique to lucid dream but it gives better result when it's mixed with a WBTB (wake back to bed) technique. Unfortunately it is one of the hardest one to mastered

I don't get what your trying to say, but I think that this method of visualising dreaming or being lucid is used by many people before going to sleep as a means of attaining a DILD or a WILD.

      well, thanks for the replys.

Snumbers, i mean that you think about the story in your mind and you slip in the thoughts, in other words, your dream.

Thanks for the post Frederom, Welcome to Dreamviews!

I've tried this, I believe. I was trying it while attempting to WILD (which I have yet to be successful at), and although I don't slip into the dream I'm seeing, I know it helps me fall into sleep in general to think out such scenes.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

I often play a detailed story in my head when I go to sleep, but usually I just view myself from 3rd person like its a movie. Then when I fall asleep, it naturally becomes 1st person.

As for the original technique, this is how I start most of my WILD's. This happens even when I don't mean to, like once I had a stray thought that the vibrations of SP felt like floating in water, and when the dream formed around me I was floating on a lilo in a pool! This shows how succeptible our minds are to stimuli or thought when dreams are forming.

It is definitely a WAKING Induced Lucid Dream

Anyhow, you wake up at night, generally about 5 hours into sleep, stay up to write something down, go back to sleep and stay conscious. Just keep your mind occupied. Enjoy the ride.

It sounds like what you're asking is a lot like Dream Incubation

Incubating a dream is a form of dream control that doesn't require being lucid at all. The ability to paint our own dream landscape like a picture or create a complicated plot like a writer can create fantastic dreams that are fun and satisfying. It also allows us to incubate a dream in which you do a reality check and become lucid.

Which is a very helpful technique that can be used for both MILDs and WILDs.
